Well I done it before…lol actually they lived on many occasions but I Always try and use hf for young guys but I have been known to cut both soils either way. Lol

Some won’t even mind …it’s a strain thing!!

No, I burnt those tomatos seedlings (plus peppers and more) with Whitney Farms Organic Planting Soil from Costco. I’ve bought soil from Costco for years and have never killed anything with it. They offered two name brands this year, so I thot I’d try the new brand as I’ve heard Whitney Farms is good stuff. Maybe it is, but not for baby seedlings. I had hundreds of seedlings, not just the 164 tomatos, and within 2-3 days, they were dead or dying. The reason I count my plants is so that I can figure out how many of each variety I have bigger pots to put them in. I like to keep 2-4 of each variety and then I like to give the rest away to friends and neighbors.

What is HF?

Sorry, that reply was supposed to go to Prey about Dynomyco. Why isn’t the tagging working? I’ll go see if I can edit.

Thank you! So far, that’s the only thing I’ve used Dynomyco for, so I’ll continue that. You originally suggested it a few weeks ago. Couldn’t find it locally so got it off Amazon. One day, I’ll have to buy the bigger portion. LOL

Happy frog… ocean Forest is their other soil. All fox farm. Those are you abbreviations…hf sorry.
Man so sorry to hear every single one got toasted. I’ve beat myself over shit like that. Why would I do the same to every one I say to myself. Burnt like 6 clones that finally rooted into my wicked hot too early compost once. That was so dumb. But learning is fun!!

Yeah, I was pretty depressed for a couple of days and then I started a whole new batch which are thriving and doing well, but tiny and transplant day here is May 15 … I’m sure they will catch up to where the others would have been. But, yeah, learning is fun! Ha! I actually still have about 8-9 of those dying tomatos that I haven’t had the heart to compost yet, but they are going there today. Hospice time is over. I need their pots for my new pepper seedlings. Thanks for the responses!! Always good to get advice/suggestions/experiences. Always.

Day 24 - still in Solo cups - looking healthy

First up is my tallest plant, a White Runtz x Skywalker OG:

Next up is my shortest plant, a Hash God:

I’m working towards feeding them more often - I feed about every 2-3 days or so. They were fed with a lite amount of roots organic terp tea grow on 5/2; 5/5; 5/7; 5/9; 5/13; and 5/16. I’m now feeding them from the bottom and only wetting the top on the hot days.

I had wanted to sex them before up-potting them, but have no idea when that will happen … so, I will probably do this by the end of the week no matter what. Am still playing around with which bags to use. I have 3 kinds and I hate the six 3 gallon 10" by 10" bags I just got from Amazon - they seem so stocky. I also have two tall 5 gallon 247Garden bags; two of those 5 gallon white/black plastic bags; and two of the 7 gallon white/black plastic bags. I’m set for medium.

Reminder that this is an outdoor grow and these plants are outdoors 24/7 now

If anybody sees anything I need to know, please alert me. LOL

They look really good. Nice and green!

Let’s ask @PreyBird1 ! What has your experience been with when these two strains start showing their sex? With the rate that these plants are growing, what would you expect?

Lol they sex kinda late and usually at 4 nodes. But that’s a worthy question something more to document and ask growers.

Well, I will certainly be watching closely and taking notes, so if I can figure out what is what, I’ll share. It seems to be obvious from some of the photos I’ve seen, but my newb eyes might miss something. I’ll surely let you know for your documentation! And, thanks, @OlyBoy, for asking. I always feel like I’m bugging folks. Thanks, Preybird!!

Use a jewelers eye/loop or digital microscope to see the pre-flowers easier.

OMG, the weather forecast up here keeps changing every ten minutes. The day is supposed to mostly be partly cloudy with showers at 10a, oops, no, now 10:30a, then 11a, then 12p then 12:45 pm, now 1 and 1:15 and I see no rain or dark clouds. I need to know b/c I don’t want my 25 day old babies to get battered out there and I need to rush them in. This is driving me mad.

Ordered … thank you!

Are you ready for another day like yesterday? lol! Since t-storms are in the forecast, I’m keeping my plants indoors until this afternoon.

Sure am! I rigged something up last night to cover them from the battering showers earlier this morning and they look fine right now.

I do love a thunderstorm, they are so rare here. Guess where the best thunder and lightning watching is? Mucky Muck Mud Bay Bridge!! LOL I’ve actually driven there to watch the rare storms we get multiple times throughout the years.
