The biggest tip i can give: is buy the zippered bubble bags put the material into the bags and ziptie the zippers. Ice just keeps everything from sticking together. 55 gallon drum of water and ice and a paddle. Hand paddle it for a long time … then run the water from the tank through your bubble bags. I have been watching my friend do this and i have been taking notes. He has tried washing machines all kinds of ways and this seems to be the best route for larger amounts. I have some of the smaller zipper bags and a small washer and im going to test out small batches. Before i go to the 55 gallon barrells.

Fanfuckingtastic answer, thank you @PreyBird1

See the sheets of metal I was speaking about @happilyretired

@PreyBird1 seeds have sprouted, second and third sets of leaves coming finally, after I quit starving them of water

here @Skinnyhb this is how my friend does it now. He burned through like 10 washing machines. And we discussed the different types of bubble hash extraction extensively. So im going to also build a Keefe tumbler. We got it blueprinted and were working out the silk screen now for the tumbling drum. My buddy has his keefe tumbler inside his deep freezer and -20 below and it similates dry ice with out the need for it. I watched him pull 10g of keefe in 10 minutes off that tumbler and then press it. All in 20 minutes.

I would like to see the freezer kief tumbler setup! I want to try it out!

Im going to build one. I was amazed how fast he could pull that much keefe. Then he was pressing the keefe. And i was watching him do that also. Live video with 5 other breeders trying to maximize rosin yields. They were getting like 25% return. It was very interesting to see it being done live and how to set up the press and do this properly. :+1:

Water to runoff. Leaf’s are slow to react and sometimes not even for over a day after a change in water or nutes or both. I agree with Hap, water them slowly but with enough to get a pint or so to run out the bottom. I do it kinda like you normally I water in three stages, once I find out how much water the medium will take before runoff. If i am watering a big bag, 7-10 gal, I can water them every 3 days and give them around 2 gals each water with a small amount of runoff. Learn their cycle, and water before they get bone dry. And remember that the bigger they get the shorter that water cycle will become. You can only put so much water in the pot, so as they get bigger it has to be more often.

An example of how I do it is if I am watering 2 gal total till runoff, I water about 3/4 gal, wait 15 min water 3/4 gal wait 15 min and then the rest. This allows the medium to gradually get moist and the water to not just run around dry spots and run through. HTH

If you get a Kief screen for your Tom‘s Tumblr you won’t even bother with something small enough to fit in a freezer. I got over 2 ounces of very clean Kief off of my lemon thunder outdoor last year.

It’s my dry ice issue that keeps me from doing the Tom’s Tumbler kief extraction.

I didn’t use dry ice I just put the trim in it covered it up and turned it on. Went and checked on it about 15 minutes later and :exploding_head: well over 2 ounces of Kief.
I didn’t see anywhere you were supposed to put dry ice inside there. :man_shrugging:
It never even crossed my mind. I’m not gonna try it until I see someone else do it. Although I did see CO2 injection to freeze it if you choose to.

Thanks for the information. I was told I needed to use Dry Ice or CO2 to do it in the Tom’s Tumbler. I guess I need to order the screen and start using it!

Who told you? Sometimes ignorance is bliss. :man_shrugging: I didn’t read it anywhere on their site and didn’t see anything on YouTube. Maybe I didn’t look hard enough.

A guy that probably never tried. Do you use the 151 micron screen or the 110 micron screen?

I don’t know. It came with mine. Look up the 1900 and see if it says which one it comes with. It’s all packed away and stuffed in the back of the container right now.

Yeah, I’m in the middle of step two. I’m going to zip tie pencils to my stems today to keep them straight. Hopefully I’ll do that. Have to find pencils.

I’m playing Dead Cells like 5 years too late, it’s fucking addictive. I’m also trying to morally process the idea I’ll have to shop at Walmart today. Makes me feel ill.

Not me. I screwed mine up. They didn’t have good symmetry. And I tried to fix it without checking back with what I should’ve been doing. So I’m just gonna let them grow out a ways and see if I just wanna let them go or if I wanna continue training
