Arizona Grow

My primary concern right now is to try and establish some height while I leave them in the grow room. About another 45 days before I take them into the flower room. I just wasn’t comfortable with 24" so I decided I should ask before I lower it to 18 or leave it as is. Thanks @happilyretired

Here is the light should you want to McClick it:

Download a light meter on your phone, lower your light to 18 inches and check it. Decide where you wanna be turn your light down to that level and give it a few days. As always always always read your plants. They will talk to you. If you want to slow them down a little bit because you have a long vegtime, run your lights a little bit low. :+1:t3:

Here is a PAR Chart to help you decide.

Nice, need to move them around now

18" and more centered

@Skinnyhb
I was going to say, if you don’t have a meter, look for a PAR-chart specific for your light (usually to be found at the constructors website). @nacho151 sorted that one out for you!

0-300 for babies.
300 - 600 for veg
500 - 1100 for bloom

Are those apps reliable you reckon? Never tested it… And I don’t have a meter :stuck_out_tongue:

The photon app is pretty reliable and is a free download. If your using an iPhone though cover the lens with a piece of computer paper to help it diffuse the light being checked.

Migro on YouTube has a couple of videos on the photon app that are pretty interesting.

I just tried it, even bought the “full spectrum LED” plug in. I have one quantum board, which it reads fairly correct I’d say (around 500µmol/m²).
But for my Lumatek bar-type light I get a 70µmol/m² reading

Adults are loving the full power of my flower room light. Happy to see praying.

The babies are just fine as well.

Surprised at how well a shower rod with blackout curtains helps keep the inside cool segregated to the side where the plants are growing. It’s 89° outside ATM. Feels about the same in the section I smoke in, but as you can see on the temp where the plants grow, my AC is working and the blackout curtains are helping it to only have to cool half the building now.

@Skinnyhb hey a quick heads up! those humidity meters you have on the floor need to be at canopy level. You want to monitor that area of activity. Also there is a temp difference of 7° from the floor to the ceiling. And we need to get you a real PAR meter to help better determine the light levels. Ive had a couple strains i grew and some parts of the plant at different height levels flowered differently. Example i have this pirates cake strain and close to the light it foxtailed and really far away its stringy and right in the middle it was beautiful. I couldnt do much about it because there were other strains in there at the similar heights so i couldnt adjust the lights height. So dimming it didnt work either. Because the other plants were growing stellar and i didnt want to mess those plants up by messing with the light to much.

I got the Growers Choice ROI-E720. It’s awesome. I’m getting another after my summer vacation to replace the cobs. I’ve been using the Gowers choice for a year now so if you have any questions about height just dm me.

I got another luxx 820 on order but its on extended backorder from the manufacturer. I could get my money back but i love that light and since i already have the light controller its gonna be awesome with 2 of them.

@PreyBird1 those meters are shit, as you can see in the flower room I think one has an Rh of 30 and the other is 50 but the temps are only about a degree apart? I spend far more time monitoring the temperature than I let on. Those meters are simply for quick eyeball satisfaction. Probably step out back and check on my ladies every two hours. In the daytime the lights are off entirely, 7pm - 7am for my adults and 7pm - 1pm for my babies, 12 and 18 respectively. It’s definitely dead in there from 1 pm to 7 pm, and which time the temperature outside of the closets is actually a few degrees higher due to lack of humidity, where as the closets have some water and can cool down in the dark. I’m on my temp game brother, it’s verging on summer and in Phoenix that’s like being in the waiting room for hell.

The ladies are all looking great today. It took me nearly all of the veg time for the Cherry OG to dial them in for water, and if I hadn’t used shit soil and shit bags, I could have avoided that issue. I’ll be out here watching the grass grow all summer, I assure you, I’ll know when it’s too hot.

I choose to put the two I had the hardest time with up first. They look the worst, and I can finally get them to stand up, their leaves to pray, finally getting some good health action, despite how the leaves may look, they are getting better, bigger, greener!!!

Lastly, I have an unfinished idea to try in my flower closet:

Just want to situate the other end right above the middle of my light hopefully to suck up the heat.

This is a Great idea bud I truly admire the ingenuity!

It was 93° outside and 85° inside without using the AC. The lights make more heat than I want to admit, so having them on at night and only fighting one heat source instead of two is much easier to do.
