It’s just something that we both like to do. Lion has a big ass shop at his place with a nice out door sink, so usually we harvest at his place because we can rinse out the roots and check out what was going on under the surface, post facto.

I am really pleased and excited with the darker green coming in on all my veg room, hence the single photo. I am also pleased with the better than acceptable flowers that are coming along in the bloom room. Big thank you to everyone for sharing everything you share as I soak up some of it from time to time.

Really wish there was a means I could live that involved not reading the news. Part of social responsibility is staying informed and aware of current events, it’s literally a huge part of the democratic process. How the hell can you vote if you do not research the candidates and their stances on our sociopolitical topics.
In the near 40 years I have been alive, the issues haven’t changed from midterm to midterm, election to election. As Americans we are concerned with our rights to keep guns, keep our borders closed, and keep women subordinate to men in any means possible, such as birth control. When you read between the lines, our issues are fear, fear, and more fear.
Frank Zappa asked when we would do away with the fuckers back in the 60s, here we are 60 years later and it’s still the same assholes, same families, same issues. Beginning to feel it is all one long con. The older I get the worse it seems to be. We have two real enemies now, two countries which genuinely provide a threat to our existence.
One of those countries makes everything we have in our country, and as COVID showed us, we obviously can’t live our lives without these luxuries. The other country owns us, loans us money, and will continue to use us as long as we can provide defense for them. Neither country cares if Americans are happy, or even alive, they just care about our military and our allies.
This world is so close to the edge, one can’t help but wonder what will it take to finally push us over?

Funny enough, I believe this is a very common “image” Western Europeans have about the “American Culture” and how defensive y’all are about it: it feels like you guys fear so much. So tense. Really tense… It’s not healthy.

You are 100% correct. It is my belief somewhere long ago it was decided by the powers that be, America would be ran by fear. Historically I do not believe this was always the case, but as the world grew smaller, or if you rather, as technology improved, fear showed up. I think at first it was hidden as ethnocentrism, patriotism, and National Pride. God the “p” word is scary to say in this context. Fear is an easy tool to use, and it works very well. Couple fear with ethnocentric ideology and you will create racism.
I need to read 1984 again, there was so much in that book that somehow became reality, or already was reality?

You’re an intelligent man, realising all this, having growed up in your culture. Much easier to just fall for what ‘they’ try to create… fear.
It is not weird that fear came into play. Having established a very nice culture as a society, I believe it is very normal wanting to protect this at some level. But being driven by fear is not the way.

But, it is the easiest way. Same principle as Pain Avoidance. Herding Sheep. Wrangling cattle. Demonstracizing people against one another for differing beliefs, political, religious or otherwise. This is Politics - Control.
