Yes, my fertilised soil may be the main reason… It’s from a brand named plagron
Peat, perlite, worm castings.
pH (EN13037): 5.9 - 7.2
E.C. (1:1,5): 1.0 - 1.5 mS/cm
Prefertilised with 1,8 kg/m³ mineral fertiliser (NPK 12-14-24)
LED light is some cheap amazon thingy, 150W, around 65$
I must confess that I do not follow a watering schedule. I usually check if the soil feels dry, if it feels dry I give some water. Maybe every 4 days at the moment. Maybe it is too much, but I am careful, so…
Seed touched ground 17 days ago
I don’t check the ph I know I should… Do I need electronic devices or can it be done with test strips? I don’t want to invest too much money…
Thanks for your assessment on how to proceed. I will not ditch! Also there is not really a way to get any other soil atm, so she has to fight her way through. Next time I will know better. Also I am curious on how this will turn out, even if everybody will laugh their ass of
Well damn sam…those are just slick as shit !! Seed starter in a little bag all made up…just add water ! I’ve never seen them before…so I scurried over to Amazon and bought a 50 pack, those will be great for all my spring garden starts too !! Just pop out the bag and plant no muss no fuss ! So much for doing things the same ol way forever lol…
I was in the same boat as you 9 month ago. I live on social security so I’m always broke.
I bought a cheap ph meter for my first grow and was good for that. But after I harvested I didn’t have to spend money at the dispensary, so with the money I saved I upgraded for my next grow.
Nath, just my humble opinion but I think both your pH and nutrient levels are TOO HIGH…if you want to triage those babies (and it will be tough) I would just try to buy some regular potting soil. Carefully remove your seedling (make the soil real soggy wet for this) Leave about 1/3 to 1/2 the bottom of your pot with the soil you have now and replace the top 1/2 to 2/3 with you’re low dollar potting soil and just be patient…water only until you have them greening up…pH is so damn important I would encourage you to buy a $15 pH meter on amazon ! I don’t really care much for cheap pH meters, but there are a hell of a lot better than nothing !!! Good luck my man !!
Well then give that soil a very extensive flush and a nice fan blowing on it afterwards, it’s locked out from receiving nutrients and its not making chlorophyll to grow and photosynthesize, left in current conditions that thing doesn’t stand a chance
I run all the cheap lights, give me a brand and I’d prob be familiar, I run viparspectra, viparled, philzon, bloom plus, and bloomspect…
4 or 5 days is ideal, fungus gnats appearing will usually tell ya to much
17 days old for an autoflower u really have nothing left, they typically flower at about 24 days old, so whatever size u can get it in 1 more week is about all ya got left, not happening for that poor baby lol
That’s nothing I blew threw 350 from 2 seed supreme orders, first round I ruined em in peat pods, next round my temps weren’t right and soil was too nute hot and ants were getting to seedlings overnight that did come up. Few squeeked by as I was getting a learning curve, got an OK harvest of the handful of survivors correcting some methods but spent the summer completely changing my methods investing in equipment and resorting to what I knew from working on Cali farms coming across some top notch compost tea recipes and now I’m growing stuff that makes my local dispensaries offerings look like dirt.
Just takes time, takes being able to listen to proven methods and getting passed that learning curve learning everything NOT to do after a couple to few attempts trying and getting the methods that gonna work for you dialed in and we have all been there. Go check out “the dude grows” daily podcast on YouTube too, I listen to it every day and it keeps me sharp with their grow talk
