I went to the expo last weekend and had a great time. Lots of amazing vendors with cool new products to show off. Here’s a couple of photos and a bit about some of the products I hadn’t seen before:
Metaphase
www.metaphase-tech.com showed off some new tech with their LED lights designed to repel pests. They claim that they repel spider mites, aphids and thrips. If the technology works as they say it does then it could save on pesticide use.
908devices
www.908devices.com had their G908 desktop gas chromatography device. They designed it so that anyone could operate it thus you don’t need to be a lab technician to do your own testing. The device is still fairly pricey at $55k, but they do have leasing options (that include servicing) that make it something that can fit into your budget. It tests for all the usual cannabinoids and terpenes. Whether you just want to keep your lab honest, or you want to measure your plants as they flower for peak harvest times, now you can get pro-level results at your own operation.
UbiQD
www.ubiqd.com is using quantum dot technology to make greenhouse films to alter the light spectrum. The dots absorb a broad spectrum of light and re-emit it at a specific wavelength depending on the size of the dots. They’re also working on creating window tints that can act as solar cells to collect energy.
Shout out to @VividGro whose booth I visited:
They’ve got an AMA event coming up on Wednesday here.
The show was well attended as you can see from the packed tables at lunch:
