Chavez's Organic Grow Journal

I should take a cutting and grow one at my house, They are beautiful! This one is purple when in bloom.

I looked them up before, Bro they look like something out of an Avatar movie don’t you think? Friggen gorgeous. But online they look like a tree mostly. That pic is obviously an established bush it looks. I guess it’s really all in how you prune it and if you keep cutting it back… well then. There’s your bush.

Heavy snow has kept it pruned back naturally. I think it’s about 40 yrs old, so yeah, very well established.

You have to really try to kill a wisteria. They bounce right back no matter what is thrown at them.

I’ll try to get some pics when it’s in bloom. If I knew how to mail a cutting I could send you one. But I’d have to warn ya, they are extremely invasive and if not pruned will take over your yard.

Slow and steady, they are recovering from over watering with Humic Acid. Letting them dry out now for a week.

I think they’ll pull through. The BBP will hopefully help with that. Another application tomorrow night.

I’m using two 200w lights in a 3x4 so I’m having a time trying to figure out how high too keep them.

With one light it was easy, but 2 lights fill my tent nice and I’m not sure if I should keep them higher now… and how much higher?

I have a lux meter that I learned to convert to par. It’s not that accurate though because lux meters don’t read all the spectrums. But I figure it’s close enough.

So I’ve been experimenting with raising and lowering my lights. They are 30" from the canopy right now.

As long as they are praying, I think I’m ok.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I think you’re going to be fine!

Why are my stems so thin? What would cause that? I never had that problem before.

I’ve noticed some of the strains I’ve grown have small branches one that comes to mind is white widow. I’ve grown that strain several times and it’s always got spindly week stems with giant flowers. Sometimes it is what it is. :+1:t3::v:t3:

Lights??? My guess! You raise them in increments or just set em @ the ceiling like I usually do. Also fan blowage helps them too.

I’m going to lower the lights a little then. I have them higher than usual.

I have four 6" fans, one in each corner. You think I need more airflow?

I use to have a tower fan but replaced it with the 6" clip on fans so I could fit more plants in my tent.

They obviously aren’t as powerful as they tower fan, but I was hoping they would be good enough.

Your good man, 4 fans is 3 more then me… lol !! I think your just worrying about covering all your bases. Too much to be concerned with… Plants will girth up
…hey and if not you got them yo yos. No worry’s.

Maybe adding a little silica can help.

So hot this week!

Jumped right up to the 80’s.

It’s only noon so it will get hotter. What are you gonna do? Oh well, my photos seem ok, but my autos are not loving it.

Going to transplant some autos in the ground today… somewhere.

I’m just going to cut the bottoms out of the pots to reduce shock.

Gotta get em out of the Greenhouse!

Some pics while I’m at it!

89° outside. Real feel is 97°. Craziness!

It’s only frickin June! Just heard @LoCoRocK took a dip in his pool! Sounds so nice! :v:.

Yes it will restrict it some, but with only the short distance of the reducer it won’t be much. The velocity will increase when it steps down going out the window. The AC fans use inpellers, so they will actually create a suction and positive pressure which will mostly overcome the last second restriction. I ran my 6" out of my coal room when I first got it and for the first year through a good 20 feet of 4" hard duct, didn’t hurt the fan at all, but I also never ran it over 6 on the speed. When I put my new tent up i did it in the opposite end of the coal room, and that elminated the 20 ft of 4 inch. Now I am running 6 inch for only about 4 feet. I bored out a 6 inch hole through the concrete coal room wall with a diamond hole saw, a friend still in the HVAC business borrowed it for me from his company.

It’s been a minute. Hope everyone is well. I have so much to catch up on.

Anyway, I just got back from camping with the family. My plants thrived while I was away. We had a lot of rain and my photos loved it (not so much my autos though).

A storm ripped my greenhouse apart while I was gone, also. That’s how they got all the rain.

Enough talk…pics!

I think I’ll move some of the 7 wks old plants inside and force them to flower if they don’t flower soon.

I got a brand new light with sunrise/sunset features I can’t wait to try out!

Took a trip to see how my other girls are doing all by themselves…

Big D Energy & Grandpa’s Cookies.

My plants seem to do best when I don’t pay attention to them. Ha! Going to do a little defoliation.

That’s what they say… You don’t have to murder them defole’n outside . We look for light penetration inside … mother nature does a good job of that outside. I just did my big ones outside a little too tho. Prolly last of it … they got 4 weeks left about. Ish! One of them is leafy as shit and no it didn’t reveg. It looks like one gigantic cola … LoL it’s asking for bud rot I know she’ll be my biggest loss. Florida humidity blows. It goes to show you they do good on thier own ya know. Looks like you’ll have full jars this winter… Full barrels maybe.

I was going to leave them alone, but the humidity has been crazy here. So I opened up the middle for a little more airflow and cleaned up the bottoms.

I hope they recover quickly because I still have 7 weeks of flower to go. That puts me at the beginning of October till harvest.

Temps are gonna drop to the 40s and 50s at night in a few days. We will see how they handle that. Then it will warm up again.

If I get a frost before October, I’ll have to harvest early is all. I started these plants in May.
