I need help.i have grown for 35 years.I have had all the problems you can have with cannabis.However here is a new one.
The cotyledon leaves pop out in a about 48 hours but after that I dont get real cannabis leaves just the 2 cotyledons.I have had 3 out of 10 do this.Am I doing something wrong or is it genetics??? growing iced out from in house genetics.
any one else seen this problem???

whoa really. Like how long have they been growing? Any pics? Are they still growing?
The 2 plants i had that did it 1st were in the ground 2 weeks but sprouted in about 48 hours.I have never needed 2 weeks to get new growth.I discarded those 2 and put in a 3rd one and having same problem with the 3rd one.From the same batch i have 4 very normal seedlings.any ideas ???

Hey Ron how are you? Maybe it’s the genetics that’s causing the problem. Try some different seeds.

I really wanted some slurricane genetics but if they are not growing right it seems a waste of time.Maybe I will go a week or so longer then go with a different strain

To add to this conversation, I had some seeds that I bred, and 1 out of 4 did the same thing you’re describing. Hopefully I don’t get anymore duds. The plant never progressed beyond those two leaves but stayed alive for a month like that.

That helps.At least I know it is genetics and probably a recessive gene.Thanks,I will move along to tri fi and cake from cannarado and try to get slurricane genetics from a different breeder
