Growing from home!

Good day to all, would anyone be interested in guiding me through the harvesting process? My plants have nice looking buds but I’m not sure if it’s time to harvest. Looking at other plants online really doesn’t work for me. If I can show someone my plants to see if I’m on the right track I would greatly appreciate it.

I highly recommend either getting a usb microscope or a 60x times handheld microscope to help determine best times to harvest as well. Grower's Edge Illuminated Microscope 60x direct from Growers House

@jpcsrva1 @treetrunks
I totally agree with treetrunks on the microscope. That’s how I was taught & it was the best tool to identify when to harvest at the right time. There about $20 & simple to use. You won’t regret it :grin:

Hey dude! They look great but the only way for you to know if they are ready is by looking very closely at your trichomes using a microscope like the folks above suggested. And knowing how long you’ve been in flower is the 2nd big indicator. But the trichs are you best indicator the length of flower is more so an indicator of when to really start observing your trichomes.

Once your trichomes start turning a brownish/amber color is when you’re gonna be ready. I’ve read a lot that 20% amber is good to go. I usually cut em a little sooner than 20% personally. If they are crystal clear they haven’t reached peak potency. Once they start turning amber the potency is beginning to deteriorate. That foggy white is when they are at their peak. Foggier more of a head high, more amber more of a couch lock high. This info is just my understanding, I only have 3 grows under my belt but it works for me ! Good luck dude. Keep us updated :love_you_gesture:

It looks like you have a lot of white hairs (pistils), I think your plant has a few more weeks to go before harvest but it’s a very rough estimate.

Roger that!
Going out to grab that microscope everyone suggested…

One other thing I would say is make sure you have your dry room ready to go and dialed in cuz if it’s not you could fuck up your whole harvest and degrade your flowers big time.

@jpcsrva1 yes I can. They’re looking real good! But not ready for harvest yet, soon. The microscope would enlarge those gloves so you can see if they’re milky white or amber. That is when you make your decision on what you want. Stativas should be milky white with very little amber (5% or less). Indica should be about (10-15%). More amber = equals more couch lock I’m told. Anything over that starts burning off the good stuff.

I like stativas with solid white :grin:

Hope that helps
