Pretty interesting… I should try that for giggles sometime… See who all in the county catches a whiff, lol!
I dont have any time or reall effort in recycling stems or plant material. Just take it over to the heap, dump it under the cover… See ya in a couple years!

Between this and the actual fire, you sent up some major smoke signals there. I’m guessing the neighbors are far enough away that it doesn’t matter. When are all of us city-folk GN members getting the full tour of the Legendary @Farmer_Dan Estate?

My neighbors like me, and I burn before school gets out. I try to be respectful. It really doesn’t smell as much like cannabis as you might expect.
If you’re ever in Oregon, hit me up. Winter isn’t a very exciting time.

@Farmer_Dan Thanks for open invite. You’re definitely right. Winter can’t be that exciting. When’s the best time of year though?
The waste might not smell like cannabis, but when has anyone ever smelled “good” burning waste?

I think late July through mid-October is the best time. I put plants in the ground late May, but it is a nice full canopy by late July.

How are other @growopowners and @mastergrowers dealing with cultivation waste?

I’ve heard/seen some options for secondary markets of some waste. What are some of the biggest movers of cultivation waste? Has anyone found a relatively closed loop cycle?

I’d be interested to hear if there are people out there purchasing grow waste. I use mine as input for my vermiposting process in a closed loop. The worms eat all the stems, fan leaves, and root mass that would have all gone to waste. The worms produce an excellent plant food rich in humic acids.
Are growers able to outsource their waste processes?
