So I recently moved into a house from the gehetto apartments 3 weeks after building the tent style room and I’m going to be building a room in my garage. I have a 2 car garage and I’m thinking about an area about 6x8 for flower and a 3x8 for veg. I am getting in the swing of things and going perpetual. I run 300w mh in veg and 1 600w in flower along with 2 “1000w” led. I’d like to run 2 600w eventually. My sisters boyfriend does irrigation in commercial indoor grows all over the state and is going to come help me get set up for irrigation in my rooms. What are your ideas for a room layout, design of the build etc. any ideas that pops in your head or if you could do a sketch that would be better. Here is my temp set up just to get by for the past week. Flower and veg are together.
Plywood or drywall? Flat white paint or mylar? Location of air exhaust and intake?
I’d check out Growmau5 room build on YouTube. In the second video he goes over paints and floor coatings.
Any ideas you have help. Even if it’s “just buy a tent” lol I am always open to hear an outside view. There are no wrong answers in my question. I appreciate your time.
I’m gonna watch those right now and see what I can pull from it. I want to build it for the long run and be efficient. I don’t want to have to go in and move stuff every time I want to go in.
Here we go with the build. I’ll cover all walls with osb and eggshell white paint and do an epoxy floor coating. I’ll finish framing both rooms then mix up a bunch of bleach water and spray everything down and put as many fans on it as I can to dry it out before paint.
Your so lucky, when it becomes legal here I plan on doing the same, but in the house (man cave/basement). Good luck, great start.
In Cali Recreationally you can only have 6 plants in any stage but I have my medical recommendation to grow up to 99 plants and also grow for 3 other people lol I’m so thankful to have a garage and not in a small ass 4 bed apartment anymore. @piper What’s the laws like for medicinal in your state or country?
There is a pitch to the roof so it slants at a 12:1 pitch. It blows! Gotta measure for every stud

This is very similar to what I have done to my back room. I run fresh air and exhaust dusts outside.
I’m thinking the same for the exhaust ducts. I’ll put in a Y on my ac duct to pump some cool air in during the summer till I get a stand alone ac unit. For now I’m just recirculating the air to help with warmth.
