My name is Dom and I am the USA rep for Dutchpro Nutrients! Dutchpro has operated out of Amsterdam since 1985 and strives to provide growers with clean, effective, and easy to use nutrients which are also free of heavy metals!
Our nutrients line is based of Liebig’s Law of the Minimum, which means that all necessary elements for peak plant metabolism are available within each bottle. It is easy and simple to use, and works perfect in every irrigation system as well as any substrate, leaving zero residue in hydro systems. Its simplicity allows every user to easily be comfortable with feeding dosages which is advantageous for home, and commercial growers!
We have soil and Hydro/coco formulations and our product line up is :
- Grow Base Feed A & B, contains all vital 17 macro and micro plant nutrients for optimum vegetative growth
- Bloom Based Feed A & B, contains all vital 17 macro and micro nutrients in a ratio to best assist in flowering
- Take Root, our organic root stimulator with cytokinins and kelp meal.
- Multi-Total, our 3-in-1 Humid acid/Fulvic acid/B-vitamin complex, substrate enhancer which raises the CEC.
- Explode, Our bloom booster which requires not addition PK 13/14

Could you speak to the new requirements for heavy metal testing in California, and how that affects nutrient manufacturers selling to the cannabis cultivation industry.

As displayed in the pdf, California (and soon Washington) have started to test for heavy metals in inhale-able herb, edibles, and topical/transdermal products.
The metals they are testing for are, and they’re action levels:
Arsenic (As)- Edible= 1.5 μg/g, Herb= 0.2 μg/g, Topicals= 3.0 μg/g.
Cadmium (Cd)- Edible= 0.5 μg/g, Herb= 0.2 μg/g, Topicals= 5 μg/g.
Lead (Pb)- Edible= 0.5 μg/g, Herb= 0.5 μg.g, Topicals= 10.0 μg/g.
Mercury (Hg)- Edible= 3.0 μg/g, Herb= 0.1 μg/g, Topicals= 1.0 μg/g.
Dutchpro has always been extremely passionate about Cannabis’s medical capabilities and to reflect that we only use the highest grade material when making out nutrients. Doing so allows us to be able to provide a Heavy Metal free product, we understand most growers are growing for themselves or a loved one suffering a medical condition and we want to help those in need get better!
The original creator of our formula still does the quality control in our factory to this day, as for commercial growers having the knowledge about heavy metal free nutrients is important to keep in mind when it comes down to these tests, and having your harvest be able to pass and get onto the market. If you are worried that your current nutrients have heavy metals ask them to provide their Certificates of Analysis on Heavy metals, if they are reluctant I would recommend finding a new nutrient line so that there won’t be any problems in passing state tests.
We believe in transparency and if you ask for our CoA’s we will gladly provide them to you so that you may see for your self how clean Dutchpro is!!
