It is the light my man! You actually have a quality light/sun now. Remember when i said you cannot be cheap with you sun/light because mother nature isnt cheap either. Now All yor weed from here on out will be sooo much better. And getting the plant bigger will happen also and having the correct environment now will enhance the plants growth. Anything you can do to improve the grow environment makes the plants growth improve also. Its like a healthy person vs an obese person. The healthy and fit plants all out jogging getting fresh air sunlight eating healthy. And then you got the fat lazy plant laying around the couch inside low light watching tv eating junk food. Healthy plants make the best buds and its also a thing called growing that plant or a strain to its best genetic properties/capability or better and to Its full genetic expression. Try cloning the plant you like the most and grow i few times over and over and see if you can grow it to its full potential bigger better and badder. Some times you need to do this to understand what that strain likes in terms of environment, how it likes it nutrients, higher intensity lights or less intense. How it grows and growing Multiple strains that you havent grown before is also tricky. Now you have a better enviroment and you can see the direct results from now. Good equipment isnt cheap you can see why. I wish you dint lose a bunch of money on crappy lights and i wish i didn’t blow a bunch of money on crap lights also. We all got tricked buy led market liars. But thats how we learn right. I can only try and help others save money but some people dont listen to the experienced folks. Not saying you are not the listening person. And everyone likes a deal so i think lying markets and wanting to save money makes us buy garbage easier and accidentally.
Like anything else, just do it if you need to and don’t if you don’t. lol.
My experience is that much sticking over the net will fall over right before it’s ready to harvest. I don’t pay any attention any more to the flower time on a seed packet unless I am growing multiple strains and need the tent to finish around the same time on all of them. And even then, they are ready when they are ready. I have seen the seed packet flower time off by 3-4 weeks. So there is that. I harvest mine at about 20% amber and grow them till they get there.

All of the suggestions and information has been invaluable. I sold the suboptimal lights, so that helped offset the cost of the FloraFlex light. All in all, I’m happy how all of that turned out.
Next, I’m going to try the auto-watering system. Aside from the inexpensive submersible pump, I already had the necessary components. I won’t need a huge setup though. Just a 2-3 plant manifold.
I will try cloning next. That should be interesting!
I stumbled onto a YouTube video recently of a Canadian grow company. The video was a walk-through tour of the growing facility (indoors.) They had 100,000 plants growing at one time. It was massive. They said they are scaling to a quarter million plants growing at one time. Unbelievable.
Im glad your still at it. Growing and trying at least a lot of people give up. If you didnt care you would have stopped growing already. And buying cannabis is expensive at dispensaries and illegal markets. Qps still get 750 each.
Yes, I enjoy the learning and challenges. It helps me with my hot pepper growing and vice versa.
Is a mixture of coco coir + sphagnum peat moss + perlite + a little bit of worm castings a good medium (plus regular nutrients) when not going the hydroponic and living soil routes?
It sounds like the Vivosun VSFD6500 is delivering excellent results for you!
Are the auto’s leaves normal, or are they curling up a bit? I don’t know if this is just how they are supposed to appear at this stage.
It has plenty of water, the tent’s temp and humidity is 77f and 78%. The lights came on about 20 minutes ago.
The light is about 19" above the plant except for the center stalk which is about 12" from the light.
Not to sure about the leaves, possibly too hot/humid and over watered? I would be shooting for 75-72f and 65-60RH. Looking excellent otherwise! Glad the lights working out for you. mines doing great as well.
Thanks! I believe I may have overwatered a bit. I’ll hold off a few days.
It looks like the additional trellis netting has helped those really tall stalks. I’m going to begin checking the trichome colors in a day or so.
Oops, how did that photo of my smoked ham get in here?
I would say this auto has at least 1.5 weeks to go. It’s not expanding nearly as fast as it was about a week ago.
look great to me.

Do you think its ready to chop chop? It looks pretty clear to me and I thought it should be majority amber.
It’s so odd that the Gary Payton (photo, fem) next to it isn’t anywherw near as far along, but germinated within a couple of days of this auto. It seems ro have stalled. Is that normal?
Examine some of the lower buds trichromes to judge overall ripeness a little better. And you can harvest the buds that are ready and leave the under developed buds to ripen more because they will. They will get bigger and finish up. “Ed rosenthal says never harvest any unripe buds”
From this morning.
The other plant being in the same tent, and two nets on this one would make partial harvest really difficult, at least for me. My eyesight isn’t that great these days, but it kind of looks like there is a 60/40 mix of amber to clear. Or is that not the case?
It has also almost completely stopped absorbing water. The overflow tray has water in it from at least 24 hours ago. And its leaves on top seem to be cupping upward, probably because too much water?
I know with some strains, the leaves rapidly turn brown when it is ready for harvest, looking like trees change in autumn. Maybe this one doesn’t do that.
I will harvest it this morning if you you think it’s ready.
If you like couch lock, 30 percent amber is the goal. Remember the trikes will age after its cut down. After amber becomes red which is degradation of thc.
30 percent visual b3fore i cut down.
You are right the plants will ripen over time in the bags. I’ve smoked flower up to 27 months and it was still pretty good. But that is like 2.1yrs old. But it was also kept at 62% RH the entire time.
I will scope it again tomorrow morning.
Depends on what you’re going for. Can you take a close up of the whole bud? I like to take mine later to get better bag appeal
