My $150 DWRC system

Curious about the 2". Think you can still clog em up quite easily.

Kool Kool. I’m talking the investors into a new nute line. This current culture is ok. But it lacks.

Did they have a separate line up for hydro or are you using the granular?

For sure they will, I have the same exact system, I wouldn’t ever do hydro again without a 1 to 1.5" joining system between the buckets again. I improved it some by reversing the flow, by changing the pump from one side to the other, but once those roots are in the holes about all you can do is physically remove them. The problem is for a flow system as large as 1.5 inch you need the rectangular tubs with flat sides in order to hook them up and be water proof. The round buckets won’t allow that.

I think they only have the powdered line but it is for use in hydro as well

Yep. That is correct. Once you get down to salts, it doesn’t matter liquid or not. Certain ppm is what you need, and you use a certain weight of product to achieve that Number. But this stuff is Ethel. Maybe with a little nitro in it. I usually run my numbers low with Dakine. Prybird has much more experience with this product than me. So I’ll defer to whatever he says. I like the stuff. For me underfeeding works really good.

Here’s feeding chart…

Man i messed up on that nutrient change. When i added the nutrients my wife was rushing me because dinner was done. Well i poured 2 gallons of nutriens concentrate for 12 gallons in first and some of the roots were in that HOT water for about 1 minute while i poured the RO water in. Then i ate dinner and had to come back and ph it.

Right after my leaves started to curl like they dried out.
Ph is still 6.15
Water Temp 71
Ppms 950
I also think i missed the mark when they started having an issue gotta learn the system. I got all my pvc elbows and im glueing all the pcv connections tonight for my bigger system. So ill cut clones on sunday for that system and try this again.

None of those numbers are way out of range, what are you suspecting…been a while since I had a full mediumless hydro run, but seems in reasonable range. How high of low was the pH that caused tis…ouch.

Nothing changed. I did notice the ppms went down to 650 and i let them go to 7 days. So they might have hit low 600s but that was it. Nothing changed. But i did add the nutrients first like a fool. I should have had the water in it 1st then added the nutrients.

Oh and my humidity sucks ass! Like 23% i got a humidifier and i may have to use 2 of them. I havent had the humidifier running because it needs to be cleaned. I didnt want water thats looks like mold could just blow and mist all over the plants.

Yep. Lotsa salt no sweating. Instant salts to leaves. I have the issue.

That’'s exactly what my leaves started looking like when I got to hot with Dakine nutes. I was in coco do it took longer to happen, flushed 3 times and got dem healthy again.

Ok i got it figured out i think? But i added more cal-mag and gave less nutrients and iys stopped. I fried some leaves. This 5 gall9n resivoir is wayyy to small. These plants are sucking up like 2 gallons a day! I think i need to double or triple the resivoir size to keep up. So if i fill the resivoir too much my roots are under water and there freaking huge roots! And if i fill it too much the buckets will overflow? So cant i just use a bigger lower water point? Because if i fill at a higher point than the buckets it will over fill right? Ok that sounds stupid now…i gotta look into how gravity affects it and if i fill it too much. Damn

Fried leaves are embarrassing :confounded::upside_down_face::joy:

I have to clean the plants up and put up a trellis. But im pretty sure i figured out my issues and seems like the plants are growing faster now. There drinking 3-4 gallons a day! Im having much better luck using 2 gallons of feed water and then just 1 gallon or R/O water. So weaker mix is better and i had to up the cal-mag. I guess when they went deficient the cal-mag was far to small of amount and since they grow much faster in hydro it caught me off guard. But i wont make that mistake again.

@PreyBird1 they smashing it one thing i found doing DWC is timing is everything but then also timings off cause of fast growth like you have had really gotta look at them at least once or twice a day going from soil to water big change aswell tho doing good as always tho brother

So i just fixed this sinks faucet. Some one had made this cabinet into a sink. I like how long it is well they had the copper 1/2" pipe all bent slightly like a curve from the existing tubing going towards the sink?. But this faucet is in 2 separate length of pipe? But the taps are on a single faucet that is supposed to be wall mounted. Its definatly some kinda home rigged up jobbie long before i bought the house. And heres the kicker this faucet is not mounted to the wall and swings freely and is 5’6" off the ground. I just made a couple pex pipe extensions and 2 shark bites to rig it back together. I dont want to remodel this area at all right now.

But i got a new 20 gallo R/O storage tank coming and on the other side of the wll there is my craft/utility room and under the counter there is a big area i keep stuff in. Im going to drill a hole in the wall and run the R/O line to a 3/8" T and i will have 22 gallons of R/O at a time.

If you need to bump the process to cover demand, you can add a little pressure pump before the membrane to increase throughput(mine doubled). I use to have my RO connected to my Ice Machine and I upgraded to a small Manitowoc, and it would run it into a deficit. Think the pump was $100, inline with pressure switch on that tank you posted above.
