Just a quick question.
I’ve been to my preferred soil supplier’s farm today, where the soil gets mixed and prepared. I went there to ask some questions about their products. But I got mostly empty answers, they wanna be secretive for some reason. So I asked about soil tests. And the lady said, yes they provide a free sample test, but she wasn’t sure on what they test for exactly. So I told her I’m going to ask you guys what I should be expecting in a test or what I should be asking for in the test. And then get back to her with the info and questions you guys provide and then see what she can come up with.
I want to use the opportunity of a “free soil test” to see how my soil looks in the beginning and the end of my grow. Maybe I must change soil providers in the future.
So please advise me on the right questions or tests to be preformed and asked for…
PS: They know NOTHING about cannabis soil. Living Soil is even more unknown here. It’s SA, it’s still a new concept to the common gardening folk here.

It’s was so funny to see them scratch their heads when I started talking about my living soil with “Their Products”. :joy::joy::joy:

And I would love to help, but I have never done any testing. I am curious to see your results though.
Did you ask @ladithief and @Packee, they know a lot about the living soil thing!

Also, @idacal has a really good products, maybe he could help you on what to check for?

Ive never had my soil tested, so not sure what parameters they can test for.

But, obviously

N
P
K
PH
Not sure what else.

My guess is they have set parameters for testing already and you are not actually able to dictate what they test for, but have to deal with the results based on what they are set up to test for.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I have been out of country for work…and recieved nothing new when I did have time to look here… I have never tested my soil… I just go by the living mass I can see and how my soil “rolls” with it… I will reach out and ask the people who mixed my recipe if they know… but it is the week end now so it could be 3-4 days to get the answers…

Hi @Ladithief
Hope you stayed safe during your international travels?
Seeing how my soil looks isn’t what I’m looking for :joy:
But more all the finer things I can’t see.
Please ask your soil people, so I can help my soil people…and myself and everybody else learning something new.

Visual for microbes with microscope and then amend naturally with teas etc for your NPK Ph etc as stated… all I can get out of them so far… I can get you their email address and you can specifically talk to them that way and explain more… I hate 3rd partying conversations…lol…

Just a Couple of Bud Shots on end of week 5. Sorry it’s mixed between the Blueberry and Charlotte’s Web. But some are easy to see the Hemp (Sativa) traits of the Charlotte’s Web.

Late this afternoon we had a good rainfall, unfortunately my GDP couldn’t handle the extra water weight. So the main stem snapped 1/3 way up the stem.
The last pics of it alive this morning.

And after she broke…

Now hanging to dry…:drooling_face::drooling_face::drooling_face:
Can’t wait to taste her.
