thread. This is my first grow and I’m looking for advice on training. These gelato autos are starting week 7 what kind of trimming/training should I do. I have been doing my best at LST and I topped one on purpose and topped one on accident. Any advice would be appreciated.

Typically you don’t top autos because they have such short grow cycles (or so I’ve read) I don’t think it will be a super bad thing though. For autos I think you mainly rely on LST. So tie down the different stems to the side of the pot so they all grow an even canopy. I’m still new to this too. This is stuff I had read because I thought I had an auto first. (turns out she’s a photo flower). Hope it helps a little!

I agree with @katmwall LST would be your best bet. Try to get all tops light tying down stems moving and tucking leaves so they all get light. Good luck

Where are you flowering them, same room or different, some look nicely started, hard to tell from a distance
Good job with the LST, keep repositioning branches as needed to get bud sites the light they need

What do you use to increase trichomes?

The top pic kind of looks like you have a little bit on nitrogen toxicity going on to me, see how the leaves are dark dark green and sort of curling down and in on themselves?
What’s the ppm of your runoff, do you know?
I’m new, I may be way off in left field here, better to get a more informed opinion

Hello winfarm… what are your environment conditions and nutes your using? Lights , soil, temps?

@wlnfarms. I have topped autos with no differences from untopped. A 3 inch shorter diff only but instead of 1 main i had 2. Same amount of yield off both give or take 3 to 5 grams maybe. Id say as long as u have 4bor 5 good nodes can go down to 3 i woildnt top anymore during flower tho. After all bud sites are places and filling in u can do a defoliate on them to bring in fresh air and light to the insides.

@Mark0427 leaves are curled because of some defoliation and training she is probably already back to her happy position:)
