Oregon Sales Statistics November 2017

Summary – Sales from Oregon’s adult-use customers and medical patients reached a combined $41.1 million in November of 2017. Dispensaries experienced a seasonal sales decline of nine percent from October, a similar decline was experienced in 2016. Compared to the previous November, sales grew 28 percent, the same level of year-over-year growth recorded in October. Year-to-date through November, sales in Oregon have reached $466 million, a 28 percent increase from the same time frame in 2016.

In November, Adult-use sales were nearly $34 million, a 35 percent increase from the previous year. Year-to-date, adult-use sales are $384 million, a 47 percent increase from 2016. Medical sales were $7.2 million in November, a four percent increase from 2016. Year-to-date, medical sales are just $81.2 million, a 20 percent decline from the previous year.

The sales of flower/bud generated $18.4 million in revenue in November, just $100k more than was recorded for the previous November. While the weight of flower sold increased 21 percent from the previous year, those gains were offset by declining average retail prices.

Concentrate sales in November jumped 59 percent from the previous year. The $10.8 million in concentrate sales represent 26 percent of revenues collected from dispensaries in November. 96 percent of the growth in concentrates came from vape products.

In November, edible sales grew 143 percent from the previous year, having the fastest year-over-year growth. Growth in the sale of edibles contributed 43 percent of total growth across all categories in the month.
