I put all my nutrients in before I ph. Then add recharge etc if needed
Btw I’m smoking that bud and wow. Very strong head high as expected from premature bud but pretty powerful. Very smooth no crackle no cough. You’d think I flushed already

I never used to PH my water till I finished either, but a couple of lines I used suggested that it was best to PH before adding the nutes, then check apparently it helps to disburse or dilute them properly in the water if the PH is right first. Some stuff raises, some stuff lowers, none of them are the same, but unless I need too I don’t want to add any chemical to my water that I don’t have to. I use Potassium Aluminum for the PH down and baking soda for the up. Those are definitely some frosty buds ! I bet it was good!
And I was watching a video by the designer of the NM nutes, and he was saying that the Ruby is a flush all by itself, So I’m thinking just run some Ruby the last week, less the Frost.
I’m running ruby in my flush for the first 2-3 days then straight water for a couple days. I also plan on no water day before harvest to let it dry out some before I cut the girls down.
FLUSH DAY 1!! Super excited to cut these girls down next week
Also changed the title of this thread. Although I’m still yet to complete my first harvest I don’t consider this a “first grow” anymore and will just keep this thread going to document my entire grow as a whole.
This little girl in the solo cup is doing great lol. This was a test run but I plan on using these little girls to fill up open space in between plants.
Got any amber yet?
Are you going to do the 24 hr dark cycle before you cut them down?
Little amber on the leaves. I was hoping it would mature a little quicker. I’m on a bit of a time crunch so I’m probably taking these girls down a few days early
Wish I could but I can’t because of having one big bloom area
I’ve never done that, I think I will give it a try this grow. It sure can’t hurt anything.
Don’t know if you have ever checked but ReCharge will change your PH too.
Another successful batch of clones. These girls have a couple more days till I’ll have room to pot em
I was led to believe that the chemicals in the ph up and down will burn the microrizae. Not sure if that’s true or not
Not if you use the right ones I don’t think, or there wouldn’t be much point in adjusting your PH or putting microizzae in anything. I did quite a bit of research on that and there are quite a few things you can use that won’t kill the soil, vitamin c, cider vinegar, baking soda, Potassium Aluminum, which will also give your plants P during flower cycle. cider vinegar has a lot of trace elements in it, and plants use vitamins as well.
BTW 4 days on the frost/ruby I think it is indeed working.

Ya I defjj in no try have more research that I want to do when it comes to natural and organic additives. Thanks for the info. Also your girls looks great especially that gelato! Very nice
It’s hard for me to get pics under the hps light I can take more when they go off in 30 min but these things are super frosty and oily and shiny. It’s crazy
A couple plants are ahead of other so I’ll start harvesting Monday and leave a few till Tuesday-Wednesday
Dang that looks goood…
I’ve said it before …but never hurts to say it again, your grow is amazing! What ever you did, do it over and over and over again, cause it don’t get much better than that!
BTW went out and read some more on the PH adjusters for water for your plants. I can’t find anything that said that adjusting the PH with anything will harm the bacteria or fungi in the pot. On the contrary over and over and over it says that they will be harmed IF you DON’T adjust the PH of the water/soil and the conditions in the pot become to alkaline or acidic. I tend to try and use more natural things like vitamin C or vinegar and baking soda. Then I read somewhere in a gardening site that Aluminum Potassium Sulfate Dodecahydrate will both lower your PH and provide soluble P for your plants during their flowering cycle. So I bought some of that direct from a chemical mfg. It is USP food grade. I bought the smallest bottle they had and it will last me a lifetime, it only takes a little sprinkle of it to change the PH. Another thing I read today and learned was that Baking Soda will never adjust your PH up higher than 8.2. No matter how much you put in. So as they say if you pay attention you learn something new every single day lol.
Thanks that’s some really good info and clears up some bad info I had
