I did the same thing, but had to take the basement window out of the glazing and then glaze in the wood with the vent.
Now I just blow it out a 6" corrugated right into the basement. Legal for recreation here now. Couldn’t care less and makes the house smell yummy lol.

At the moment I have plenty. Probably not going to put anything in for a few months. Can only smoke so much. I currently have 12 1 gallon jars full. I think I’m set lol. But I am also thinking about going on a edible adventure…so we will see lol.
