Getting ready to harvest these in next week or two!

Nice looking buds all covered in pistils @butterfield.

How are you determining the harvest time?

I find watching trichomes the most reliable way to judge that…clear trichomes are considered still developing, cloudy trichomes are mature, amber indicates the THC is degrading.

imo, you may need to wait a week or so longer than expected.

I personally like to see a little amber, I feel that means most of the clear trichomes have had time to mature to cloudy.

I love a 50/50 ratio for my indicas and a 15/85 ratio for my sativas , so many go by eye but really you need that hand held microscope to have a clue when she’s ready . Great post;)

Im curious about the tmv. As of today I have not seen one lab verified case of cannabis having tmv. At another forum I frequent, someone sent a sample to a lab to check for tmv and it came back negative.
What I have been able to find is its either genetic and/or its called variegation. Which dont affect the plant, negatively, other than aesthetics.

Interesting I’ll look into that I didn’t loose any yeild (it supposedly slows metabolism) but did slow the ripening process it seemed.definatly made the plant look funny ,it started at the seedling stage

Do you know if it is possible to breed out such diseases and viruses? In order to save genetics. I just lost a grape crush pheno I will never find again I’m sure…:frowning:

Im not a specialist in that department but if you send a leaf sample to a lab maybe they could differentiate if its just variegation or variegation caused by tmv. Sorry man Ill post the link of where I read of a possible cure but youll have to do some reading https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/tmv-the-final-answer.33713/ Hopefully I dont get flak for posting a link to another forum. Its all for a good cause tho so f it.
