Yeah I just cant justify anything other than led light as the heat waste is so much less, when I first started my commercial grow we had double ended hps’s and man did they crank out the heat! they worked good but so much wasted watts to heat.

I’ve had the same Raptor 6" hood since at least 2005 maybe longer…I’ve always run HPS and MH…I’m just a home grower though. The LED will be a learning curve for me.
I grow in my own soil mix, with Dr Earth top dressing. That’s it. Costs me maybe 50-75 bucks a run for my mix to re amend. I don’t know. I don’t track money very well

I get it, makes sense I don’t do the soil growing living or otherwise too many variables and things that can go wrong… to be honest, if you can manage living soil leds are a breeze, with a par meter you can figure out the details super easy, to make things even sweeter there are a few very nice led light that are very budget friendly.

Oh I forgot to mention, they are short and fat because I topped them and also used many LST’s on them, trying to maximize my light foot print as its only a 480w light, I also added a CO2 bag in there as well max photosynthesis…

@PreyBird1 It’s pretty cool though how the different phenotypes showed! The left is definitely more sativa leaning (narrowed and smaller buds, a little taller and foxtailing even on the lower buds). The right seems a little more indica and yes that yellow purple is beautiful. We’re still to new to know if it’ll show on the buds as well?! It’ll be sweet if it does lol.
