One last tip on topping.
Buy a set of cuticle scissors at Ross or Walmart. They make a better cut than just pinching and can hit the perfect spot for the cut. Be sure to dip them into rubbing alcohol in between plants to avoid cross contamination of viruses.
Rule of 5: For every 5 nodes of new growth from where the internode meets the mainstem, I FIM a top. This practice creates a nice, even canopy and very uniform plants…perfect for indoor under LED/LECs.
We’ve been thinking about making topping even cheaper with a robotic arm on a rover. Take a peek at our commercial farm prototype, the Kindbuggy!
Sweet lord! It’s finally here! I will be the very first in line to try this Kindbuggy! After that, I may repurpose it as a lunar module or it looks SUPER useful for scooping up the dog poop in the backyard.
Either way, when can I get my hands on that Kindbuggy??
Its still early but let’s say in the not too distant future. To scoop a deuce would be a fine early demo… stay tuned!
Say, what’s the update on that robot poop-scooper…er, topper robot for my grow?
I like this topic. I am bringing it back to see if any other growers have explored the use of robotics in your grow? What has been your experience? Are there manufacturers doing R&D on any new robotic units for growing that you might be willing to discuss?
We’ve been testing different commercial applications:
The design now uses solar power:
We are working on different bumper attachments for gripping/cutting/spraying…
best product demo song ever…
That thing is badass!! And I agree with @nick, greatest demo music ever!
