Podtronix Shop Worker
Construction of custom environments, prefabricated room & shipping containers aka PODs.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor or Operations Manager and/or Owner.
• Proper use of woodworking equipment, hand and power tools involved in building custom shipping containers.
• Pack, skid, band, brace, cover, and weigh parts and/or the fabricated container as required.
• Examine and test machinery, equipment, components and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
• Install machinery, equipment, and new parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
• Perform support duties to assist painters, blasters, or welders.
• Apply protective coverings such as masking tape to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Provide assistance to more skilled workers involved in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment, and machines
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Accident prevention – correct and/or report any unsafe working conditions before they result in an accident.
• Tend and observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation.
• Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned
