Hi all! After wrapping up Indo Expo in Portland and Denver then CannaCon in Seattle, we are looking for one more outstanding trade show this year. I am curious what other’s may have experienced or recommend going further South or East. Although I do believe that this industry has several great shows going, we are also looking toward our ROI and making solid business connections.
I look forward to your feedback and thank you in advance!
I have had the best luck in Vegas at the MJBiz Con. This will be my 4th year exhibiting and my ROI has increased every year I have attended. I have exhibited at several of the smaller expos as have my collegues but the MJBiz is the go to show for us. I walk a few of the smaller ones each year to keep tabs on what is going on but haven’t found the same level of clients anywhere else.
Good luck! Hardest part for me was getting upper management to approve the expenditure the first time. Full speed ahead after that.
First time for that particular show. I did not sign up. I am going to
be in Toronto and Vegas this year though. I have some colleagues going
so I hope I am not missing out on that opportunity. We will see how it
goes. The DC show was not near as good as the Vegas show last year but
still had quality leads come from it. Went for the Toronto show instead
of New Orleans this time…

Growers Network has a top secret software project in the trade show space. All I can say is that your question would be answered real quick! We are working hard on the development and will post on here once the beta is ready for testing.
I’ve been looking into that, maybe a show in Canada possibly an east cost show, I just don’t know which one would be best. NECANN would be great but it is truly just weeks away and I’m not sure we could do that
Just walking the exhibit hall is worth every penny in my opinion. That’s close to 100 business cards from this recent CannaCon in less than 2 days and every single one was a real conversation with an invite to followup. There’s plenty of business walking around these things too, it’s not just the vendors. People get tired, they sit down to have a coffee and then more business gets talked about. “Hi, who are you? Oh really, I’m so-and-so.” Connections.
Feeling adventurous? Step outside and have a smoke and toke with some people. I’ve met more underground growers that have given me their numbers and wanting to make connections that were the guys outside smoking the huge blunts. Growers with large acreages that are looking to make more organic (or less visible) connections. They are certainly out there (and attending.) Depends on your type of crowd, scene, target audience, etc I guess.
I’m getting excited just talking about this stuff. When’s the next show?!
