You Grew It, Now Where Do You Sell It?

You’re properly registered and licensed in your state, your first crop is mature, what’s next? How do you get it to the market? Going to trade shows? Posting ads? Contacting dispensaries personally? Word of mouth? What methods are you finding to the most successful for your operation? Do you need to present testing certification before you sell?

Talking to licensees here in CA, I’ve learned the headlines are correct. There are definite supply chain issues.

What is the standard process for growers to get buyers in CA?

They must have their own distro license or sell to a licensed distro. The challenge is the state embraced the industry, but local municipalities have not. , limited licensing opportunities.

A distinct drawback! If you do have a license, do you get placed on an “approved” list for dispensaries to contact you, or do you need to contact them and set up an appointment? When you meet with a buyer, what is the meeting like? Is it hard to get your product placed because of dispensaries having existing relationships with more established growers and those growers don’t want the competition?

HI Steve, the BCC which is the Bureau of California cannabis has a listing of all licensees. It’s a free market so distributors contact dispensaries. It’s very competitive. We are not distributors. We are an online presence. You have to get more information from an actual distributor. We are relaunching our website into a support system for the licensed market.
