Founded in 1992 as a small woman owned business, Coast has been providing high quality products conveniently designed with the nursing staff as our #1 priority. To this point, we were 1st to design a deeper specimen drain bag to reduced back-splash onto the physician, reducing the complaint factor during a stressful day. As a convenience for the nursing personnel we pioneered the use of Velcro anchoring tabs which replaced the metal anchoring clips which required accountability when lost. To improve our product design for ease of use, we were again 1st to include optional suction adapters for convenience and environmental health and safety. Because medical costs are the result of prudent utilization of departmental budgets, Coast observed the costs of repairing expensive electronic foot pedal controls due to moisture infiltration during wet cystoscopy procedures. With the consultation of field nursing personnel, we introduced an economical line of foot pedal covers that protect electronic foot pedals from moisture thus reducing costly and inconvenient repairs.
