Well I asked AI and it would be called the F2 gen.
So there ya have it. lol. BX1 is the first backcross from a sibling to one of the two parents, so crossing two BX1 siblings would make a F2.

Well the Blackberry Moonshine BX1 is starting to frost up, I don’t think the buds are going to get very big as they are already beginning to get quite a few brown pistols.
The Banana Purple punch auto is just about there.

Couple more weeks and we are in dry time. The Banana Purple punch is in the grove bags curing, it is not to damn bad even not cured yet.

That’s a red pipe cleaner on the last one…tried to pollinate this girl, but I don’t think it took. I didn’t really take care of the pollen properly just left it laying out for a few months in the basement, I imagine it was too damp.

Put in a couple of girls outside after the workmen doing the soffit and facia on my house got done. Coming along nicely. Nothing like mother nature and all organic to make em’ shine.
I figured she would feel right at home with the Banana trees.

So got out the POS Canon Rebel. Thought I would see if I could get some good pics of the Blackberry Moonshine buds. (sure miss my Nikon)
Anyway, here are a couple of attempts.
Getting antsy still a few weeks away…smells SO good blackberry undertones with straight up pinesole smacking you in the face.

Thanks Hap…had a small bud break off from backing into one of the girls, and nuked it in the microwave on defrost. Just enough to pack a pipe bowl. Outstanding and it’s got a ways to go yet. And I have two or three more goes on that bowl left lol.

This is getting silly…not sure exactly how long they have been flowering, but seems like forever, well hell, I just went up my thread and they are not all that old on the flower. Just hitting 60 days now, so pretty quick actually and that’s a good thing cause I got two of these outside, so that should make them finish in late September. Just still not seeing any amber at all, and still throwing green hairs. But they are turning purple. Finally turned the AC on, so it’s getting about 58 degrees in the tent at night with the light off, keeping it at 75 during lights on.
The girls outside are doing well too. The first girl is about 8-9 feet wide, and 6’ high. The second girl is a little narrower, and about the same height.

Yes those are the Dragon Flame Genetics Blackberry Moonshine BX1 strain.
This is the first strain of DFG I have grown. These were regs. I got 3 girls out of 8 put in. I actually put in 10 but knocked the whole tray over and some of them upended and the soil spilled out of the pots in a big pile. I looked but couldn’t find the seed and or sprout lol. So I just set them back up and got 3 out of 8.
The one plant with the red pipe cleaner I dusted that limb with pollen, however I don’t think it took. I hope there are some seeds hiding in there as it seems to be a very good strain, nuked a couple of small buds and it is very tasty and potent. I only did one limb, so I can keep that separate and take it apart as I smoke it and hunt for seeds.
I currently have 66 strains of his lol.
I need to find someone to leave my seed stash to in my will. As I probably have 10,000 seeds in deep freeze. And some of the 66 I have 2-3 packs of.
And I have 12 more packs of his gear on the way right now just got notification from USPS this morning that it shipped.
Just waiting for a little amber, so far zero, a TON of milky and still a bunch of clear.

Jesus, every time someone puts up their booty from Jeff, I see four or five I haven’t seen before. I asked him on Discord how many strains he has made and he said somewhere around 200 over the last twenty years, so I don’t even have half of them. I just got the USPS on the way notification, I got the Purest Indica and the Purest Indica x Black Tiger, plus 10 more freebies yet to be known lol.
Before the Discord server got shut down Jeff told me that his best was the Triangle Kush lines, the last one in your picture on the right. JSYK.
