We use high proof ethanol because it has less/no water. Water is bad for extractions.
I agree water is bad but 16Ā°c is cold so evap outside for sure and only when below 16Ā°c or add 1% iso and flashpoint gos up to about 50Ā°c
ever clear is evaporated/boiled off at 168Fā¦ stay below and you are okā¦so 130 setting is fineā¦just keep ignition sources to nil if possibleā¦ then the recovery of the everclear can be done in a source turbo/still or boiled off and wasted in an open air purgeā¦ just be very careful if you chose open airā¦

Hi @kapouic! You can buy potable alcohol 96% (must be labeled āpotableā) or analysis - grade ethanol 99.98% (also absolut alcohol). Both must be USP Approved.
Check my posts, I use a Sohxlet extraction apparatus with 96% alcohol for extraction.

This is a sohxlet apparatus at work.
And the extract tastes sweet, with all the terpenes and flavor intact (two drops in a tea cup twice a day. Increase as needed.).
