Amazon Par meters

Hey everyone,

I wanted to see how uses a par meter. I own the photon lightray that uses a phone and diffuser. I have noticed it’s not accurate at all. It’s seems to be at least 300nm off when I test using it and the light specs provided by the light manufacturer.

I would love to get the apogee par meter but it’s $350. Does anyone have any luck with the cheaper par meter found on Amazon? I have under $100 to spend.

I wish I could but the people behind me and to the side of me both run daycares. So there is little children running around outside all day.

I have this same par meter and it works very well.
I would save up for it. Because nice meters and ph testers are as important as good quality lights and nutrients and genetics. I always say you should buy the most expensive lights you can afford!

Hey,

If you’re still looking, there’s a great deal right now on Amazon. A solid PAR meter with DLI function, normally $120.99 but with the code 40XVJSY5 it’s down to $72.59. Definitely worth checking out for under $100!

Those cheap 120 - 150 dollar meters on Amazon are all the same guts just wrapped in different colored plastic but they are all the same electronics inside! Don’t be fooled…
Make sure to calibrate them once you get one too.
