I am a Grower in the Washington State Recreational program. I have outdoor and indoor growing experience and have been in the I-502 Program since Day 1. I have solid experience and an interest in opening markets for cannabis. I am only interested in well funded project. I would like to hear more about this opportunity.

Thanks for your reply, John.

Have you grown in the Tropic?

Let me tell you: my project has local investors and own resources. I am slowed down right now 'cause my agronomist stole some info and defected.

I am structuring a company that really fits the legislation and the market. There are companies that have been formed solely to obtain licenses and not to turn them into something tangible. Some others, that for my concept, do not have a workable model.

My project includes a partner and me. She is a mechanical engineer specialized in project management. She has worked in a cannabis company. About my experience, if you have seen my profile in LinkedIn, is in agricultural and financial sectors.

The project that we are advancing is divided into three phases:

  1. Indoor and outdoor cultivation
  2. Oil extraction by ethanol (initially)
  3. Production of cuttings by means of bio-reactor (mid-term)

The first two are focused on export and we are working on them. The last one is another business model that we are considering according to the legislation of Colombia.

Our financial model is designed for the cultivation of 1 ha indoor and 1 ha outdoor, with a total extension of 4-5 ha where there are also production facilities and the remaining area, for medium-term growth.

Hello, Dave.

As I mentioned in the subject of my post, I am looking for a master grower who is willing to be part of a serious and true project. Who knows about agromic part and costs of this. Also, I seek investors to whom I can offer a financial model totally aimed at the reality of the sector.

I’ve seen there are companies that have been formed solely to obtain licenses and not to turn them into something tangible.

About my experience, it is in agricultural and financial sectors. My partner is -she- a mechanical engineer who has some expertise in transformation-extraction facilities and she is a project manager specialist.

The project that we are advancing is divided into three phases:

  1. Indoor and outdoor cultivation
  2. Oil extraction by ethanol (initially)
  3. Production of cuttings (mid-term)

These figures are considered in the initial part. Expansion will be in line with the development of the activity.

Luz Elena, hola.

Hi @juanferag, I’m new to this group so am not sure if I’m following the appropriate procedures, but would be interested in learning more about what you’re up to…

I am an investor (and represent a fairly large network of investors that are providing equipment financing / capital leasing for growing and extraction capex) but also know a thing or two about growing. Prior to cannabis, got into high-tech farming 8 years back with leafy greens, built one of the largest leafy green vertical farms in the Southeast US which also built-out in the Middle East (Dubai, Oman). About 3 years back, got into Cannabis and have been involved in financing close to $9 million across 8 different facilities thus far.

About a year ago, we became interested in the Central / South American market and 6 months back took a small position in Khiron given their ILANS merger.

I am very interested in the Central American market (namely Columbia but also Uruguay) because, from an exportation perspective, the Colombian market has a major advantage over its Canadian counterparts: namely lower production cost, existing agricultural export infrastructure (coffee and flowers) and a friendly & progressive regulatory climate.

First, its climate allows for year-round, outdoor cannabis cultivation.

Second, with over $4 billion in existing flower and coffee exports, Colombia already has the infrastructure in place to support a thriving agricultural export community.

Third, Columbia – where medical marijuana is already legal – is moving to further reform its cannabis laws.

I suspect that with time, people may talk about Colombian cannabis the same way they talk about Colombian coffee or Flowers.

Over the past several months, we’ve started talking with multiple people buying farms / getting licenses in Columbia but still haven’t made any particular decision (though as investors, we tend to prefer betting on multiple horses)

Would you mind sending over your financial model for review?

Also, since we do a lot on the grow financing side of the equation, we’ve seen enough stuff that we can probably offer a few pointers on grows…

Let me know your thoughts

-Charles
