Are cuttings safe for the compost bin?

Are the cuttings that are produced after harvest and trimmimg ok to put in one’s compost bin? Is it ok to also put some in a worm bin?

@ArtVandalay Though “composting” is a generally safe practice in regards to bins we should always consider the feelings of our bins. It’s a tough and thankless job sitting outside in all kinds of weather being loaded with food scraps, coffee grounds, and that piece of cheese that nobody wants to admit that they threw in there. I’m pretty sure the bins hate us so maybe the real question is, “If I put this old onion in there will this composting bin try to kill me…?”

My SOP is holding the bin at gunpoint as I add the bits. I haven’t had any issues so far.

I compost all of my canna waste for eventual use in my veggie garden. Stems, leaves, extracted plant material from bubble hash runs ect. It breaks down in volume alot over the seasons as well.
