Huge barrier to entry – and this comes on top of a $15,000 application fee. I don’t think anyone can expect to be a little guy growing out of a basement and become a commercial cultivator. You’ll likely see more coops or big business enter the space.

That’s pretty crazy. I’ve heard of liquor licenses going for that much but it does seem like a huge barrier to entry.
