We have a greenhouse operation that is growing hemp starts and are exploring the idea of switching our standard trays to air pruning trays. I’ve found several that look very appealing and would really love any feedback available from growers with experience with air pruning. The trays that I found that seem great and are affordable are 50 cell trays from a company called Stuewe (ST50T) and they’re also back ordered until late June. I’ve also purchased some root maker 60 cell trays to play with. Any pointers on good air pruning trays that are affordable at a commercial scale? The starts have to be at or smaller than 2.5" top diameter to go through our transplanter.
