This huge facility for medical only? It’s still illegal in Fl for recreational. Over 20g is still a felony in FL.

I have worked for verano next to some poeple who were extremely close to the top ring. The owner is a genius businessman and they have one of the best legal departments in the US industry. They also have the capitol to eat fines left and right. They have had some troubles in the past with rico though. Easy enough to find with a quick search.

Chicago Cannabis Firm Accused of Drug Trafficking in RICO Case

A cannabis lawsuit has made it all the way to federal proceedings this month, as Verano Holdings, based in Chicago, is being accused of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act by trafficking cannabis.

The charges are based on the fact that Verano Holdings are being accused of smuggling cannabis from Illinois to Arkansas as part of their business plan. The lawsuit claims that Verano planned to open up a dispensary in Arkansas along with Harvest Health of Arizona and Natural State Wellness Enterprises in Arkansas. A former employee of Harvest Health, Nicholas Nielsen, is claiming that he was told to go to Illinois to get cannabis clippings that would help start the new business. Source

This is because they have deep pockets to pay fines. I am guessing that they were only transporting clones to start a new grow house. But for a big operation, that would be al lot of plants unless they were only getting a few to grow into mothers to then make their own clones. It is still illegal to ship cannabis across state lines, and still completely illegal to possess, grow and sell cannabis at a federal level. The drug classification still has not been changed. The only part of the federal law that changed was for HEMP production, non drug cannabis for industrial use.
