Chlorine burn? Is that even possible and will it kill my babies?

Spoke with a close friend and he seemed to think that it is chlorine burn and that I should flush my soil so that my plants do not die. Do you think it could possibly be chlorine burn? I know I’m a newbie, but from what I’ve read, chlorine will not kill your plants unless you have a completely large amount in there. Correct me if I’m wrong. I think the nutrients might be too hot for the plant and they’re just getting used to it, but Just by looking at the plant, it seems worse than that.
Trying not to lose these girls. I am using the coast of Maine growers mix platinum at them and I have not added any additional Nutrients. Just what’s provided by the soil. My gut is telling me that it’s possibly nutrient burn, but I also feel as though it could be something else or something else or something in addition to that. This is so stressful, especially for a newby.

what is everyone’s opinion? Thank you in advance.

becker, I would definitely agree with your friend that it is salt burn, but have no idea which salt it is.
Remember when we talk about ‘salt burn’ we are talking about CHEMICAL salts. Many will exhibit the same visual symptoms including chlorine, sodium, boron. (It DOES NOT take much concentration of these ions to kill plants QUICK)
You will really need to give us some more information about pH of your irrigation water and it’s source as well as run-off EC to better understand your predicament…however if you have no meters or experience the best you may be able to do quickly is buy some distilled water at the store . Put about a teaspoon of lemon juice in a cup of distilled water and ‘flush’ your plants as soon as possible…Good Luck

You should post this in your first journal. Then you would have all of that interaction that you built the first thread. Now they have to find you again to help… When you make multiple threads for the same grow , you lose interaction. You also make the ability to recall your knowledge much harder.
