Complete Newbie here, I have some Beginners Questions

Introduction
Hello everyone! my name is Micheal and I am from Florida. I work in sales and (if you couldn’t guess) I love cannabis. Ive been smoking for 7 years through getting my supply from dispensaries which here are decent but its still a lot of money.

I decided to renovate my shed and turn it into a space for me to store my computer setup. but I released that with the abundance of sockets and decent space, I may be able to fit some sort of apparatus for cultivating cannabis.

Plan

I want to grow 1-3 plants within this area and It would be optimal for this to be stored within a tent. the plants will be acquired through the process of cloning as I have a good friend who clones his cannabis and would be willing to give me some copies. however it will be my job to grow them.

General Queries

how much will it cost me from beginning to end to cultivate two cannabis plants? factoring the lights, energy uptake and other factors such as nutrients and equipment such as pH monitors or optionally some sort of drip feeding system etc.

what tents are recommended for small scale production (i.e., 2-3 plants)?

When deciding on lighting, and factoring in the small scale nature of my cultivation plans, what lights should I go for?

at what periods during the day/week/months am I supposed to:
- have lighting on/off
- water the plants
- give the plants nutrients
- change the soil

and finally, What are some 'Must Know’s for cultivating cannabis, I am extremely new to this subject and have approximately 2 months to prepare before I attempt growing myself.

Final Word
I apologize for the length of this post, I want to make sure I have the basics understood before I am able to cultivate my own. any answers to the queries I have given would be very helpful. thank you!

@MitchelP welcome to the forum!
I like 2 in one tents. A small space for clones to live and an area to grow and flower plants.
Total cost is impossoble to figure out unless you know all the parameters like cost if electricity for your set up. I spent months with a calculator and crunching numbers and searching the interwebs for detais on equipment. I then got the least wasteful equipment i could find keeping in mind money/cost is off the table. Buying cheap or lower price equipment is trouble and costs more money. I would look at growers house for kits! I got the best deal here on equipment. Thats how i found this forum. We will help you decide on equipment. But the kits will show you what you need for the basic set up. Nutrients and supplies cost a bit and initial equipment cost is kinda high. But nutrients start at around $59 for a starter kit. Lots for you to learn here. Your going to be busy lol. If you click on on avatar and then click on activity and then topics you can read a lot of things i have started in my threads and equipment i have built. Also use the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner. Its really good for finding things you want to know because lots of people have already done it. And its saves time for you and us because we dont have to answer redundant questions. I also am misspelling things a lot, dont worry about it. I try and fix errors but i also dont care sometimes. I think i type stuff as im thinking it so i apologize ahead of time! Make a juornal and document your equipment and set up. I clone a lot and uave many helpful threads. And there loads of great growers here willing to help!

Welcome to GN @MitchelP , very difficult to answer your question, but @PreyBird1 covered your questions.

Growershouse.com has a great calculator to work out what you need for the amount of plants and size of space you have.

https://growershouse.com/custom-grow-room-yield

https://growershouse.com/2-5-x-5-grow-room-550w-clw-led-hydroflood-complete-grow-tent-package

I would also suggest doing our FREE 101 Cannabis course which will help you know more about the growing process and equipment needed for getting up and running.

Please feel free to ask any questions, always happy to help.
