Hello everyone
I hope you r well I m new to hydroponics and am now working on a project to grow tomatoes utilizing the nutrient film technique system. I hve had some success thus far; but I want to make sure I m giving my plants the best possible conditions to grow in.
I hve been exploring several nutrition solutions and their compositions; but the number of possibilities and recommendations is a bit overwhelming. I understand that tomatoes have unique dietary requirements and that the proper macronutrient and micronutrient ratio can have a substantial impact on growth; yield; and general health.
- I m aiming for a balanced NPK ratio of 5-10-10 during the flowering stage, however I m not sure if this is best.
- I m supplementing with calcium and magnesium; but I m not sure what concentrations to use.
- I keep my nutrition solution at a pH between 5.8 and 6.2, which I hve read is great for tomatoes.
I would love to hear from more experienced growers on their nutrient management strategies.
- What ratios do you believe are most successful for hydroponic tomatoes; particularly at different growth stages?
- How can you determine the proper quantities of these nutrients? Are there any specific goods you recommend?
- How do you monitor and modify nutritional levels? Are there any advice for preventing shortages & toxicities?
- What are some common nutrient management mistakes to avoid while growing tomatoes hydroponically?
Also I explored some topics related to this https://forum.growersnetwork.org/t/could-you-tell-me-what-is-the-appropriate-concentration-numbersalesforceadmin-of-macronutrients-for-cannabis-please/24224 but I did not get the sufficient solution of my query so I would really want to get some help from a more experienced person.
Any insights; advice; & personal experiences you can provide would be highly appreciated; I am excited to learn from the community and improve my growing techniques.
Thanks in advance for your assistance
