A “breeder” once sold me next to extinct pre 98 bubba Kush fem seeds, the original IBL line. Decided to meet in person rather than rely on the postal service. Messaged each other over a few weeks and realized we had so much in common, liked the same music, food, netflix shows… They lived rural, but only about 3 hours drive north, in the mountains. So I went, my life changed.

Um i had a guy/gal on Ig try and catfish me over T-shirts! Tries to get business. They got it and then made up all these lies. Like the prices went up on there materials costs. Had to pay a little more? Then all of a sudden they had a fire at the shop and only my products burned up? Need more money to redo the order again? Then they would settle with the insurance and reimburse me the extra costs? Yeah lucky i used paypay and said it was not personal so it was guaranteed on my side when i paid the thiefs. I stopped payment and paypal pulled the money immediately thank goodness because after all the BS i would have lost $300.
Now my other good friend was on strainly and paid this “breeder” $600 for fake afficianados sacred sour F1 seeds. The seeds were switched with fakes and they were in official afficianados packaging, authenticated signed card inside and everything. The wax seal used on the authentic card and to seal the seed vile wasnt sealed correctly and you could slide lid out without disturbing the wax so it was an easy switch! The seeds hermied immediatly when flowered. So my friend lost all his money. I seal my stuff with authentificaction seal hologram sticker for this very reason. If you got it from me it’s real. Because i also found some idiot on strainly bought seeds from me and was trying to resell them for more money. He got reported also and his account was removed.

There’s some info you give out and some you don’t. Use paypal or cashapp or whatever for payments. Address and Name are fine. Anyone can find those. Anything else is a bit sus. If I may suggest a breeder hands down the best I have ever dealt with, and creates ALL of his own genetics from insane cuts. Look up Soulrebelselections or Microbe.Alchemist2.0 (same person two accounts). So of the highest trichome density and viscosity I have ever seen on plants.

I would not buy any random persons seeds anyways. Never know with all the lies now a days out there who tells truth or not. Had a guy on ig post a post name this strain win 50 seeds and a t shirt. Have a name says he liked the name was gonna use it send me an addy I said what’s all gonna happen here. He says u send me 60 for shipping and allmis URS for free just pay shipping costs. I said it cost 60 bucks to send 1 shirt and like maybe 2 or 3 grams of seeds to me. I’ll pass. When u win the shit should not cost u a dime. He said if I gave every winner on my dime I’d be broke as a joke. I think it’s a scam er page anyways because who has all white buds unless light bleached. Lol.

I mean really just be smart. Take recommendations from fellow growers. That’s how I found SoulRebel. He sells packs of 15 regs of his own strains for 25USD. I have 8 of his strains right now. I’ll use Instagram as an example but every single major company has multiple fake accounts pretending to be them. Fakes will try to sell stuff or just plain steal your money and banking info.
From a breeding perspective I’ve seen some mislabeled seeds and some insane mix-ups no real breeder that tests would ever let happen. Like a line of feminized plants that turn out all to be male or herms. Pollen chucking untested gear is also super common

I almost got jerked with a secret shopper scam.
They send you a check, you buy phones and then send them the “difference” and then mail them the phone you purchased. (Rolls eyes). I signed up and forgot. Then a $1300+ check arrives and I’m supposed to cash it. I go to the bank and ask if it’s legit… they say you have to ask the bank it’s drawn on. (i never knew that… figured the cashing bank would know as well… bc what the hell takes so long otherwise). So i called the draft bank and they say send them the check and the FBI would be notified and may contact me. I dodged a bullet w a little diligence. A few weeks later my cousin tells me she got GOT the same way for over $2Gs Smh.

This happened to my mom like 15 plus years back or so. She chatted online alot so did my dad. Met so ppl in Thailand that sent my mom a 1300 dollar check said cash it send them back 500 rest is hers for whatever she wants to do with it. She actually cashed it at a Detroit party store required no id to cash checks she never did it again as figure she dodged a bullet and won’t attempt it again but turns out it was a false check finally got the truth out the guy and lady who sent the check
