Do you breed in-house?

In-house breeding programs are becoming more and more common. Many growers are becoming adamant about only growing the strains they breed, or dedicating a percentage of his or her crop to proprietary cultivars – even I strive for 50% proprietary genetics in my grow. Do you have an in-house breeding program? Are you breeding new cultivars? If so, what are your favorite stud male plants? What cultivars have you bred? Are you backcrossing and stabilizing? How many BX are you doing? @growopowners, @GrowOpEmployees, @Caregivers, @mastergrowers let’s chat about genetics and breeding.

I’ve been chucking pollen ever since I started growing (non fems - my first run was with feminized seeds). I think everyone should save their stock, and seeds are so compact and portable.
When I started working for a commercial grow, I deigned to suggest a seed program. They were pretty horrified by the idea. It was the pollen they didnt want, no pollen anywhere near the grow! I thought it would be smart to feminize their mother stock for future safety, as well as suggested that there might be a market in AZ for feminized seeds… No one sells seeds in AZ, which is sort of the biggest lie going about where did all these name-strains come from??? Especially since it’s illegal to bring in clones or seeds from other states! It’s like magic. The dispensaries know magic!
