How is the hot spot? Does it cover thee same area as well as 3 315s would?

Here’s a great comparison between CMH, MH and HPS. CMH and MH are not interchangeable.

I mean that to say that the DE MH bulbs we’re made as a compromise to offer a bluer spectrum that would work with a DE HPS reflector. The spectrum is only good for veg (CMH will do full cycle), they are less efficient than CMH and HPS, and the bulb life is about half of what a CMH will give you.
So I’d say no, a 945MH will not give you the same as 3 CMH 315s. A 630w CMH should knock a 945MH and a 1000w HPS out of the park on spectrum and efficiency.

Tks I’ll just have to buy lots 315s and three led kits to do what I want lol, may take a cpl crops to get it all but I need different lights in there the 1000w lights are too much on the sides where my ceilings are slanted

Heat is the real issue
I think led would be great but I want a combination of led and CMH.
