Question for indoor growers. What’s the backup plan for If you lose power at your grow site? Last year we had our power cutoff several times due to fire danger. Has anyone run into this? Hoping for a better option than running a gas generator…
Are any of the solar options strong enough to power a grow tent? ( lights fans )
I keep a gas powered generator on hand at all Xs @Maz. I haven’t found any other power sources out there, that will fit my budget, that could run my grow for over 24 hrs. I’m curious if anyone else has come across anything different?
I been thinking about this kuz I don’t have a plan and we’ve been having alot of storms
I have a whole house LPG generator, because in the winters we have here if the power goes out we may not get it back for weeks at a time. However I did look into getting a Natures Generator that uses solar panels to charge it up. With that generator you could probably run a small grow room up to 18 hours, and if you have it hooked up to an electrical socket to charge it and your grow equipment hooked up to the generator it would automatically provide continuous power to your tent. They used to cost about $2000 at Lowe’s.
I have never cared… bigger things than my plants with out power like my freezer… but in the winter when we lose power the most I just put it outside in the outdoor freezer…lol…
