First grow journal, oltimegrower

Hi everyone, @happilyretired @Jimhigh66 @LoCoRocK @Slym3r thanks for all the messages, tags and well wishes. Been tough for me losing my best freind of 12 years a couple weeks ago, my dog Sam. He’s still with me though for sure…
So a couple updates, I sent my Northern Lights seedling to it’s new home with one of my freinds. He’s on his way now, trying to get him to join this forum!! So the Blue Dream I have left was transplanted and now she’s roaring to life in my second 2x2x4 grow tent now…lol…what the hell, two is better than one right?

Handing out to nearby friends, very nice. Your plants look great.
I have a couple questions

#1- how are you holding your screen down?

#2- where did you get these corner fittings in the below picture?

Glad to have ya back man. Congrats on the little blue dream looking superior. Two is always better then one for sure…pets passing sure does stir up emotions, all kinds but I think dogs Especially since they are beyond a trustworthy companion. NL was my last grow and I go right to sleep on it… lol

That looks like a simple 3 or 4 way elbow pvc fitting???

Hap I made these out of regular three way corner 1/2 pvc plumbers fittings. I took a hole saw to the top side to allow the vertical leg to slide through. It’s a couple thou over the pipe size so it holds where I put it on the vertical.

LoL… you know the light bulb is going off with Hap and he’s thinking the math to lathe it down and improve on it just to play with the tools…

I was gonna ask how many tries it took to cut it at the sweet spot. It sure beats cutting the pipe every time you need to adjust the net…lol

For weight I use caps on the ends of the verticals and fill them with sand. Plenty to hold the plant down…hillbilly :joy:

Actually I was sitting here wondering how come I didn’t think of that. That’s flipping genius. You could just drill a hole and tap it to quarter 20 and put a Phillips headset screw in the side for adjusting your height. Damn that’s a good idea

I bought six and made four…

That’s what I’ve seen… screws at different heights…maybe coyote

No loco, you’re not using the screws to slide the pipe in and out of another one you’re drilling and tapping 1/4 inch hole and putting a set screw in it. Then the setscrew tightens down on the pipe. If you want to raise it or lower it you just loosen the screw and move it.

Yup exactly that’s what I said …

Oh I thought you were talking about the other one that I saw where whoever it was put a three-quarter inch pipe inside of an inch and a quarter or something like that and then drilled holes all the way through 1 inch apart and put a bolt through it at the desired height.
