Hi! I really like your setup! Can you direct me to where you bought all your stuff? I was thinking of getting a kit but I haven’t seen kits that have the same dwc as yours and I wanted to try to find similar

I made my own buckets and put the eye-screws around the rims of my net pots. I just did some research and watched a bunch of videos then I just put them together. I thought about buying a kit but this seemed pretty easy and I could adjust it to my needs. The grow tent kit and most of the other stuff is from Amazon but the buckets and nutes I got from my local hydro store.

Thanks! I think I’ll go with purchasing a kit at first. If I can get my plants to look like yours on my first run I might try my hand at making my own later.

Jeeze I’m gonna have to try DWC. I have ALL the stuff already made, did it years ago at least 10. But I designed mine with a reservoir to not only have a air stone in each bucket but a tub with the nutes to recirculate all the time…problem was my pump heated the water up so much that I came home to DEAD everything lol. Took it all out and did coco. So now that I have all the stuff already made all I would have to do is just put the buckets in and plug the recirculating holes up. Got the air-stones and air pumps, buckets with the mesh pot lids and the ceramic stones.

The spots are from a Cal/Mag deficiency at the beginning of it’s life. It kind of “expresses” it’s self through the life of the plant even after correcting for it.
I am a bit of a nerd and DWC had enough of a science vibe that I just couldn’t let it go. I am really happy I went this route at the start but I am more than happy to try other ways of growing as I go. In fact that is my life plan until I fucking die. You don’t have to commit to it. Maybe just get one bucket going just to see?

Rez change #17 complete and starting week #12. No dry erase board with cool sciencey scribble on it…I got too fucking high and I am glad I was able to get anything done at all. Sat here with my pal Rusty and lost all track of time listening to music lmao! The life of a pot farmer…that is the key to happiness!
The Kush XL continues to challenge me but it has been fun! She just keeps growing and stretching and I have decided there are no changes this week. All of the bud sites look like they are winding up for something. I’m doing what I can and I really don’t have any serious concerns about anything. Soon I will harvest “Shorty” and I will have the space and flexibility to adjust if the Kush XL makes a break for the fence. (Guitar Capo for scale)
Shorty has hit this strange phase…a kind of suspended animation. The trichomes continue to form and swell and the buds feel heavier but the rest of the plant looks almost unchanged as far as color etc. I decided to continue with the 5ml per gallon suggested dose of my base NovaBloom because she just isn’t ready yet. Maybe later this week I will get that feeling and start the flush to get her ready! Thanks for watching, guys. Be safe out there!

Started the FLUSH this morning to get the Gorilla Glue auto ready for harvest. RO water change every morning X 2 or 3 and then I will dispatch her just before the lights come on this Friday or Saturday. It is hard to believe that I have gotten this far and I could not be happier.

Omg it has been a weird couple of weeks so I am a bit behind and If you are still watching and still care THANK YOU!
Last Friday I harvested the Gorilla Glue auto and it was a larf party. The local dispensaries sell what they call “popcorn” of similar quality for the cost of a lightly used pancreas. It was a small plant, about the size of a house fern, with a few nice buds and a metric ass ton of popcorn so I am fuckin THRILLED and I mean it. I don’t have an exact weight but it fills a half gallon mason jar + and is plenty to get me by until the Kush XL is dried and cured. The dry box worked very well but the RH here has been low and it dried in 5-6 days instead of the 7 to 10 days I was shooting for. Everything is in jars now quietly curing for the next month in a dark cozy closet.
After trimming and jarring it up I had a couple tablespoons of blonde colored kief in the bottom of my Trim-Bin so I decided to take up Frenchy Cannoli on his advice to learn more about this plant buy hand pressing some hash. I made a pot of coffee and sat for a good half hour pressing it. He was right. You really do learn from the old ways. The hash is young and a bit harsh but Waaaaooooaaaawwww… I am very very happy.
The Kush XL is starting to fade and her buds are getting heavier and frostier. If the smaller plant is any indication of yield then I will be fine for a while. I am ready when she is and I am in no hurry. If she wants to take another couple of weeks then fine…I like practicing my guitar with the light from the tent anyway lol.

Update: The Gorilla Glue is curing but I couldn’t resist. I grabbed a few buds and rolled them. Sticky AF with a lovely chill buzz that really feels nice. Totally worth it! I just started the flush with the Kush XL so she will come down within the week. Lot’s of cloudy with a nice mix of amber trichs that almost looks like light colored mud under a hand lens. I plan on giving her 48 hours or more prior to harvest because she is, most conveniently, the only one in the tent lol. I am interested to see if it makes much of a difference. I’ve been scheming for months and grow #2 is going to be FUN!

Congrats @truthhound! I have been watching your 1st grow and could not be more impressed. My first grow was an embarrassment yield and quality wise but I wouldn’t call it a failure cause I learned so much.
Can’t wait to see what your next grow(s) looks like. Keep it up and stay elevated!
