Hi everyone. Im so new to growing! I had bought some 9lb hammer and i found a seed. I had a pot with a houae plant that was dead. I pulled that out and pushed the seed in and watered. It has been grow up ng awhile. At first i didnt have any lights. So I did that. It is inn flower stage right now. I don’t thinnk I did a very good job at trimming. There are a ton of buds on her. Does anyone have suggestions for the next one?
You won the lottery… got a girl not a boy… nice…
Looking great for your first! She’s what, about 2 weeks into flower? Trim all the older fan leaves off really well, she’ll grow em right back in few days and be better for it. Looks great for a first timer tho!
Thanks! I watched very close to make sure not a male. What do you mean about trimming?
Trim all of the big fan leaves off her, open her up a little bit more to light penetration and growth of newer leaves that will in-turn to better but structures, among other advantages! Ya know, trim her up to look skinny and she will grow new ones back in 3 days…
Ok. Thank you!
Your plant looks great for your 1st time @tammydc! Great suggestions already and if your looking to grow another think about lighting. A great source of light is what a plant needs most, next to H20 and nutrients.
I have a 250 light since it is only 1 plant …for now😊
During flower they need the most light intensity. 1000ppfd at the top of the colas is best. A 250 light isn’t bad for vegetative growth but for flower you need about 4 times that to get the most out of the plant. But if all you have to work with is whatcha got then it’ll work!
and you want to mimic the sun… lower the spectrum temperature… I usually go to 2700k more into the red spectrum…
And that number may be misleading. Is that the wattage pulled from the wall?
Yes check at the wall. A lot of the ebay sellers lie and say the lights equal too 1000 watts and there is no way if you look at the watts is says on the listing you will see it.
Ok you lost me completely. Can you msybe explain a lityle? Thanks!
It is the spectrum on all lights… look at your bulbs or boxes… there should be a 7500k bright day light or a 3500k soft cool etc… in flower you want to go more red spectrum or cooler… down in the 3500k to 2700k…
