Food saver mason jar sealer

Has anyone tried this to pull the air out of your mason jar? Sounds like a good way to cure/store.

Been there n tried that. Lol. But what goes in my jars now is Boveda packs to keep just enough moisture for me n my Bowl. Lol. Everything else can be sealed into the bags.

My buddy found a system that burps your jars as well as vacuums

Cure cork? A guy on another forum lost his whole crop due to it not burping and getting moldy.

You want air in there during the cure, otherwise anaerobic bacteria can start growing, which is bad for your buds.

Jar, burp, and then determine how you want to long term store it. Once it’s completely dried/cured, you can vacuum seal it safely.

If you have $1500 there is a couple out of Vermont making a converted humidor or wine fridge or something into a curing machine… the demo of it at NECANN was impressive. It can hold 2# of bud. It’s a smart device that maintains proper temps and humidity, etc. You can configure it to gradually decrease humidity over time, etc… was really cool. I’m likely to get one next year.

Do they have a website?

That makes sense. I think I’m going to try it for long term storage.@420adams

If you look around the web you can find diy instructions. People started doing this a few years back for large cigar humidors.

It’s definitely a thermo-electric wine/beverage cooler though. Traditional refrigerant styled units won’t work properly.
