Are you looking to chill ethanol for extraction? The guys over at future4200 have some pretty cool DIY rigs for getting ethanol cold enough using consumer air conditioning units.

I have a freeze dryer on the way… If skip the vacuum cycle I will have to see how cold it goes…

Sublimation, yes or no?
yes or no??? and I know you know sublimation…so CO2 to gas and freeze drying H2O from ice to vapour… not sure what you are asking… sorry ripping on peyote at the moment…

I am just curious if the sublimation process is preferred or is that something you try to stay away from. I would think it would make for a better product (less water, more flower).

In order to turn water to gas… you need 212F or even under a vacuum it is still boiling… when washing hash it is the water that breaks the trichomes not the ice… the ice will too but it also breaks down the plant matter which you don’t want to do… so from ice (solid) to vapour (gas) with no agitation or water there is very little to no trichome damage… so yes…

I am so excited to be able to go from my freezer to the washer to the freeze dryer and a good portion to the press and the rest remain hash…lol… nice pages… I followed your FB page you posted…
