Genome-wide identification of bacterial plant colonization genes

The gist of it is that they found 115 genes related to root colonization in Pseudomonas simiae, a bacteria found in the soil. Some had obvious functions relating to motility, others didn’t seem to have a use, but showed increased frequency with root colonization.

Needless to say, this is a good starting point for more work on the rhizosphere!
