Well thats great news that you have it all working.
I spent all day moving shit around so could set up trimmer. Then i could only get the trimmer to turn on. The blower would trip my surge protector and its 12 amps? The blower is 9 amps?? I had to get a 25’ heavy duty extension cord and use the garage circuit for the trimmer and the kitchen circuit with an extension cord for the blower. And weird thing is the garage is also the living room circuit. And there in the same room? Its really weird. I spent 3 hours like WTF! That ate up my time for trimming.
Is the blower and the trimmer all one unit? A picture of this thing assembled would help. So it runs on 110 V and it uses 21 A combined?
So the blower sucks the trim out of the machine and blows it into the bag?
Envious
Spoke too sooon… The HID’s tripped off shortly after my last post. They are supposed to draw 6 amps. I have a feeling 1 of them might be on the way out. 2 of them shouldn’t trip a 20 amp circuit. I’m using a 25 ft 12/3 cord that gets slightly warm. The surge protector got warm as well. I’m going to exchange the 25 ft for a 15 ft cord today. And maybe another good surge protector.
Running 1 600 HID and the LED’s now.
I just bought a Eye Hortilux Super Blue bulb 3 weeks ago, 106 bucks. I’m kicking myself it the ass for not putting that $$ towards another LED. These HID"S are a PIA.
I mentioned 1 plant got a little tinging on the tips… a slight discloration as well. It’s the only 1… any ideas?
thanks!
I don’t think I’d trip on it yet. I would watch it for a couple of days and see what it does. If it’s just one not all of them.
Almost 2 months since germinating…
Just ordered BBP. Everything ‘seems’ to be under control…LOL I’m now running 3 lights instead of 4, a 20 amp circuit won’t take the 2 600 HID’s. Strange… I’d have to go with a bad ballast, if I had to guess. I have a choice of running 4 light’s w/o a/c. Or 3 lights with a/c.
I can leave the tent door open and temps are fine. But, I have to be home to open-close the door, obviously. Tent is in the garage… Leaving the tent open I’m guessing is frowned upon due to pests-insects? I’m in the desert, so not many bugs here at all.
Orederd some BBP and it will be here Thursday.
Trying to decide when to go to flower… After these gals are gone, I’m going to take off till after summer. My electric bill has gone up about 200 bucks or so monthly. (middle of dead winter) Once the summer comes and it hits 115-120… look out!
Slowly but surely…
Getting there…
Things seem to be going pretty smoothly, I’m very happy so far. I’m going to have to learrn to prune better. I only pruned (fim) the top branch on the majority of the plants.
I’m using primarily Botanicare products… Pro Bloom, Instant Karma, Hydroplex, Cal-Mag, and Silica Blast. So far, all at the recommended levels.
I used BBP, but unfortunately not until 1 week before flower. It sure seems like there are more buds than I’m used to. Some of the plants are covered with buds. I’ll get some more photos soon to show you.
It’s starting to get sticky and stinky… :):)
Preybird1… Again, thanks so much for the genetics. I can’t wait to try them out.
Day 50… looking good. Has too be one of the prettiest buds (color wise) I have ever seen. Just starting to turn purple.
Looking good @rixx!
Yeah man, it’s definitely a beauty.…
Just happened to chk the trichomes out, and to my surprise this plant is 1/3 amber already. After 52 days…
How can I speed up the flush process? Or is it possible?
thanks!
I have read flush with pH’ed water and if the runoff is under 1300 PPM’s turn off lights for 48 hours, I just turn off the lights for 38 to 48 hours myself. I can’t really tell the difference if the smoke tastes different with flushing, but darkness will help the trichomes.
problem there is I have 4 different strains in the tent. I can’t isolate just the 1 strain. The others are starting to turn amber. I’ll take a closer look once they wake up this evening.
thanks for the suggestions…
I only looked at 1 of the buds, the majority of them still need a few more days. I mixed up a batch of ph’d water, and started flushing the #2 strain, while still giving the rest of them nutes-boosters. The others are maybe a week behind.
I’ll pull them out of the tent and stick them in a dark closet when the time comes after flushing.
thanks!
Hey @rixx !
I agree with @nacho151, That 36-48 hrs of darkness prior to chop will be very effective for your purposes. The dark period takes advantage of a natural physiological process where your plants transfer excess nutrient back down to the roots…same effect you’re trying to achieve with the ‘flush’ but actually more efficient IMHO.
Would work very well in your instance where you have differing maturities! Just take the individuals that are ‘ready’ and put them in a dark closet!
Try it out and let us know what you think! It’s always great to share a procedure that accomplishes your intended purposes!
They are all getting close. I went ahead and started flushing all of them. I checked the runoff, and some are over 2k ppm after using plain RO water. Def needs a good flush.
Yes, it looks like a closet will be my best bet since they all won’t be ready at the same time.
thanks!!
