Thoroughly rub a tea spoon of mineral oil working into the resin for a minute or two, then wash with dawn dish soap. This works great, to me thought its still a PIA so I just wear nitrile gloves…

Better than a lot of things I have smoked in my career. I’ve been smoking pot since the 60s and I just quit…10 minutes ago. Oops, cough, cough… 30 seconds ago.

I use 91% isopropyl alcohol if u want u can add avacado pits to the alcohol and let it set 24 to 48 hours cut the avacado pit up soak it and then strain out the pit pieces use the alcohol on hands to clean the resin off and it also helps with aches and pains if u have pains spray it on those areas and it helps not fully but helps. Dont have a smell afyer evaps in skin and dont seem to dry out skin maybe oils from the pit idk but my daughter first year of menstral stuff and her cra.ps get horrible thru her stomach and back. Wipes this on both back and tumny and she swears it works great for those kinda pains. My dad uses it on his knees which he says dont work fully but relieves some of the pain where its not so bad for him

I used to do the same thing and it works, however it drys the hands pretty bad and I live in the north so its sucks twice as much. A guy I was trimming with one time when we were taking a break used baby oil (mineral oil) to clean his hands and washed with dish soap (dawn) afterwords. I thought he was crazy and he explained the science of it to me, I said what the hell and gave it a try and its the only way I’ll clean resin/hash off my hands now.

This is from Google AI but the science checks out.

Mineral oil effectively cleans resin off hands because both are non-polar substances, meaning they are attracted to each other and can dissolve each other, allowing the resin to be lifted and removed from the skin

I’ll have to try Dr.Cleanthumbs next time I end up with resin on my hands.
