GroBucket Test Group - device makes 5 gallon buckets self-watering

Here is a company your Australian growers could contact to see if they would ship buckets to their location.

I just added 3 Blueberry strain to GroBuckets and ordered another 10 pack of GroBucket kits to use for my future inside ladies and some peppers and tomatoes for outside this next spring. I am liking them a lot.

Grobucket update: (One of the Blueberry strain plants I transplanted a couple of weeks ago.)
I have found that once you start using the reservoir the water will be sucked up into the soil in about 3 days, so there is no standing water that needs to be drained and replaced. The soil seems to stay moist for 10 to 12 days, after watering, based on the type of strain you will be growing. So far I have used the Grobuckets with GSC Strain, Blueberry Strain and just transplanted some LA Woman strain. I plan to grow some White Widow Strain in them (future grow) because they need watering a lot faster than the strains I’ve grow so far.

Hey, just checking in. Not sure I mentioned we’ve been working on an irrigation kit you may be interested in. Ordering parts and will be packaging and listing on Amazon hopefully by March. Your plants look great!! Thanks for trying out the GroBucket kits. I’m going to list a coupon & contest soon. Take good care.

Is this the only market youve tried this testing in? If not, how are the other test runs doing? I see very good results here.

Hey, there. Thanks for reaching out. I’m thrilled with the feedback and photos. This group’s been awesome. A group called Fish!t Test Group reached out to me on Facebook and they combine Fish!t soil conditioner with the GroBucket Gardening Kits and have had amazing results. It’s a private group, but if you tell Thomas Weeks, the moderator, Carrie sent you, he’ll approve you, most likely. He doesn’t play around though–you must behave nicely and follow the rules or you’re out  Also, another group out of Michigan, called Wellijuana, contacted me on Instagram. They are on Twitch also and will be doing a live stream comparison of products, but I’m not sure on the date yet. We are currently sourcing parts for our irrigation kit which we’ve heard will be a game-changer especially for cannabis growers, so when it’s available, I’ll give you all a heads-up. Thank you so much for your interest.

It was before you got here. @carriezrun might be able to do something for ya.

I dont do Facebook. I have and account, but rarely use it. The social media will remove all forms of cannabis in time. They don’t have pill commercials, so they wont have weed. Not to mention, amongst the many many many childlike behaviors that come along with Facebook users.

Do you promote the Growers Network as well?

HI Carrie, neat, simple concept!
Only see one issue of concern…without any drainage water, there will necessarily be a build up of salts.(Note all fertilizing nutrients are ‘salts’-- that is ionic molecules regardless of synthetic/organic source.)
How will you deal with the rising EC levels as witnessed in Nacho’s recorded data? Can you provide a way to rinse or flush your soil? All ‘captured’ irrigation systems have the same issue, even hydro systems where evaporation and nutrient additions must be closely monitored as pH and EC will become critical at some point?!

Is there anyway that I could get some information on possibly getting on the list for testing grow buckets products or have se one point me in the right direction

Hey there. Sorry for delay. Believe it or not, I don’t actually grow cannabis, so I asked a friend who is super experienced and a huge fan of our GroBuckets for growing cannabis–He has a Facebook group where he shares how to use Fish!t soil enhancer with GroBuckets.
He says:
Ok first off if your ec is getting high then it is a simple cure… back the hell off of your nutrients… ec and ppm are q measurement we use to determine how much our plants are being fed and there is good ranges and bad ranges… if its low you add more nutes if it’s high you back off your nutes…I will be setting up the irrigation system to test.

I hope this helps. I will be doing a give-away on Growers Network, so keep an eye out.

Appreciate your interest!

LA Woman strain planted in Grobuckets on 9 JAN 21.
I’m impressed with the Grobuckets so far. I’m waiting to see the root systems after my harvest of GSC in April!

I apologize for the late response. I was just scrolling through this thread and saw your question about RO. I thought about getting an RO system for my grows however I changed my mind because of the waste water issue. I was told by several RO people it will waste 3 to 4 gallons of water per gallon to get 1 usable gallon of water. I now think if you collect the waste water it might be sent through the RO system more than once to prevent a lot of waste. I’m just started looking into that possibility. I think @sssportsmfg is looking to do that.

I’ve been researching for months why the pH and PPM increase happened during my water test. I discussed the issue last night with a friend that works as water resource specialist for a State Dept of Natural Resources Agency and he said it could be Hydrogen Ion build up, CO2 depletion in the water, temperature swing or just evaporation of the water. I was just looking at the results with the air stone and I’m thinking now it was probably all of them.
